There are a few differences from the original part. This starter has ten teeth vs. nine on the original. That really doesn't matter, it meshes with the starter gear. It is a little taller than the original. I had plenty enough room to get it in.

Starter was the exact same as the one that i took off of my craftsman mower with a26hp Kohler motor ( sv-735 ). Started right up, fixed that, but now i think that the coils are bad , started mowing and 1hour in started like it was running out of gas and died, it's got gas, now it won't start, it's got oil, gas ,new fuel filter, plugs, I'm about ready to Burn the damn thing.
