Works great but it's mandatory to replace the provided nuts for a coupling nuts due to more tread to compensate the steel used on these u-bolts. I used the u-bolt kit on my b-body Dodge and it works perfect but only withstands the recommended torque if used with coupling nuts, flat washers grade 8 and ARP high torque grease. Do the first torque pass at 50ft-lb, drive the car around the block and second pass at 70ft-lb.

Purchased these U-bolts as I was replacing leaf springs on my RV. When I received them I went to work replacing springs. I installed the first nut and torqued to 80flb as instructions outlined. When I got to the second nut it seemed like it kept going but I was able to torque to spec it seemed light it was still not tight. I tried to remove nut and it started to move up but then stopped and it appeared the nut was stripping threads. I was able to remove the other 3 nuts and thank goodness I got the u-bolt off with nut still attached. After looking at the u-bolt and plate noticed the plate was bent! I decided at the point to remove the set of u-bolts on the other spring and was met with the nut stipping threads. I was able to get off in the same manner as the other. Top plate was bent as well..I would not recommend this product as the u-bolts stretch as well as stripping threads and top plate bends.

the bottom plate is nice and thick. the nuts and washer are good quality but the u bolt was to fita 3 inch axle. it was to be 3 inch's across but was 3.5 inch so it would not fit my axl.
