My main concern when purchasing this battery was "WOULD IT WORK FOR MY OLD TRIMMER" I saw that the listing picture showed a 3 prong battery whereas my original dead weed trimmer battery was only a 2 prong battery that fit a two prong charger. Reading SO MANY reviews that stated conflicting answers I decided to give it a shot as it was a fraction of the cost for a genuine Black and Decker battery and worth taking the chance for $20. I have no idea why some buyers said this did not work with their 2 prong system or current 3 prong system or they had to cut off or file down one of the prongs because none of that is true. Not only did this work with my 2 prong trimmer it also worked with my neighbors 3 prong hedge trimmer. In addition, we tried this with a newer Craftsman drill that it also unexpectedly worked in. This is a very universal battery and I believe it was designed this way. Why have three different batteries and 2 different chargers when this fits them all. To top it all of this is the better NIMH type and double the amp hours which means a longer lasting charge. I have been considering a new battery for my beloved B&D trimmer for years but at $50 each it just made no sense. I am super happy to have found this and hope the word gets out before you trash all those older yard tools that actually lasted more than one season that "yes" this will work for you. SUPER happy with this purchase.

I’m completely shocked at how much better than the original this battery is. It is an awesome purchase would definitely recommend would purchase again in the future.

I bought this to replace the Ryobi battery for my lawn mower. It really doesn’t run for an hour. I would say anywhere between 35-40 min. But it was a lot cheaper than the brand Ryobi

I’ve had the battery for several days and have run it through several cycles what I’ve noticedIn my 40 V leaf blower the volume of air is much less than when I use a Ryobi battery at first. I thought there was something wrong with the leaf blower. Then I swapped out to one of my Ryobi batteries and the leaf blower works just fine. it probably runs three-quarter power On this replacement battery.In my 18 inch 40 V Ryobi chainsaw. This battery will cut out in approximately 45 seconds. It will reset and then again it cuts out in about 45 seconds.In my 40 V trimmer, the battery seems to work OK no real notice in difference in performanceHowever, with the original Ryobi battery, I have full power and then the trimmer will turn off with this replacement battery after about 15 minutes of trimming you noticed that the trimmer just kind of starts to slow down. I didn’t run it till it turn off, but I ran it till the trimmer was probably at about half speed, when I checked the status of the battery with the indicator lights, it said the battery was still at three-quarter charge.I did contact the seller through Amazon. They have yet to reply.Update 9/19 The seller eventually did get back to me. However, the replies were delayed days at a time and the responses did not make sense. I finally contacted Amazon as it was a defective lithium ion battery. They would not accept the return. But did offer me a one time customer loyalty credit. So maybe some of these batteries are good and I just got a defective one. I guess I’ll never know.

i posted a review on it previously but i wasn't finished using it and trying it on other tools. it turns out that the battery is good, buy my blower isn't working for some reason. this battery works fine in the weed eater and brush cutter.

A couple of my Ryobi 40V batteries reached the end of their lifespan, and I was down to just 1. Gave this one a shot, and it didn't disappoint. Using it with my Xpand-it edger and string trimmer attachments, it seems to have more torque than it did with the older batteries. Not sure if that's just because of the age difference, but it was a welcome surprise.

way cheaper than Home Depot and just as good. I love this product. Arrived fast and was well packaged. Great value for the price.
