Hey there, fellow wired connection enthusiasts! If you're on the hunt for an Ethernet splitter and can relate to some quirks, we might just be in the same tech tribe 😄:1. You're a bit old-school, loving the reliability of wired connections.2. Troubleshooting a wired network? Easy peasy! Wi-Fi? Not your jam.3. You cherish your vintage tech that won't Wi-Fi-connect, and it’s just too good to let go.4. You're keenly aware of Uncle Sam peeping through your webcam. If you said 'yep' to any of these, my notes might be up your alley.First Impressions: The splitter's built like a tank—Aluminum fortress to dodge overheating. Cable connections? Solid 'click' to reassure you. It throws in a USB-C cable without charger but, hey, who doesn't have a graveyard of old chargers? Just grab a 5V/1000mA output one. Manual's there, full of diagrams you might never glance at (bring out those reading glasses if you do!). The warranty seems like it's got your back and it's more generous than others'.Testing Drama: I whipped out my laptop and did the speed test tango with Fast.com (courtesy of Netflix). Here’s what I cooked up:1. Wireless alone—No one else using my network.2. Wired through the splitter—Solo mission, no intruders.3. Wired through the splitter to both laptop and 4K streaming on the TV.Results Roll Call: Wired triumphs! Speed's a touch better than wireless. When double trouble hits the network, speed remains surprisingly unfazed. Check out the pics for proof! My internet provider promised me 500 Mbps.Parting Wisdom: Go for the 1000Mbps version if you're in the market. It does its job well, and it's like investing in a bit of 'future-proof' tech, unlike its slower 100Mbps cousin. Embrace the upgrade, folks! 🚀

Splitter allows me to connect my work phone, work laptop, and printer when I am working remotely. I have had no issues with my connection. The splitter works!

This product would be more accurately branded as a 1 Gigabit 3 port Ethernet Switch. I verified the product's bandwidth is as advertised by using IPerf3. IPerf3 is Open Source, free to use, Ethernet speed test software. While testing with computers I confirmed the three ports are interchangeable as the IPerf server. In layman terms, if you want to add an extra device to a wired Internet connection, it doesn’t matter which port on this product devices are plugged into. I picked up this product to share Internet access from a single wired Ethernet connection to a Smart TV for streaming video and an Xbox. This worked as expected and provides a faster and more stable connection to the Internet than using a wireless connection for the TV and the Xbox. This product has a sturdy build and is very light. I like that the product has both link and data traffic LEDs for each port. As a result, I noticed the TV I was testing did not light the Link light which indicated the TV only supports 100 Mbps. Having a data traffic LED is also helpful to quickly determine if a connected device is properly configured. What I didn’t like was the user manual. It is obvious whomever put together the manual doesn’t understand basic networking. They have diagrams showing improper and silly ways of connecting the product. Example, the user manual has a diagraming showing connecting two of the three product's ports to a router and the third port to device. I deducted 1 star for this as it will be confusing to an end-user that doesn’t understand basic networking. The product is good but the manufacture should update the user manual.

I love this thing. It was exactly what I needed when I needed it and at a relatively decent price. $27 is a little expensive for something like this IMO, but in the 6 months since I bought it, it's been worth every penny. If you're looking for a way to provide a fast, stable connection for more than one device via an ethernet cable, this is the product for you, and it's simple to install. The hardest part of the installation was just moving my TV to get at the cords behind it. The rest was easy.I definitely recommend this product.

I'm so glad I got this splitter! I was getting latency issues between my Fire Cube and my Denon AVR. I was constantly having to adjust the lip sync setting on the Denon. The Cube does not like competing with an external audio source I guess?! At least not in the house of WiFi lol. I ran a 25ft Cat-8 cable (also from Amazon) to my entertainment center than attached the splitter. Than ran 2 Cat 6e's I had from a previous internet installation, 1 to the Cube (resistance is futile), and 1 to my AVR. Now they work seamlessly together and when a singer sings it doesn't look like one of those old martial arts movies! Now, I know only enough about IT technology to be dangerous to myself but I can research and this was the best plan I could fiqure on, and it worked. I have the newest fiber-optics internet (1000gb) going into my house and it's my plan to drop Cat-8 cable into every room and eliminate as much WiFi as I can. Am I paranoid? Yeah, just a little!

Review of RJ45 Ethernet Splitter 1 to 4 Out, 1000Mbps with USB Power Cable.Well this little box seems to be causing quite a debate on whether this is switch, hub or a splitter, personally all I can say is all the RJ45 ports have bi-directional data capability at the same time, the signal strength enhanced by the five volt USB “C” power supply for the combined five data ports to supply or receive up to 100 metres in distance by cable. As for small this is an aluminium casing enclosing five identical RJ45 ports and a Type “C” 5 volt power port in dimensions 70mm x 70mm x25mm, each RJ45 port has two led lights orange and green, again a lot of debate as to the use of these, however for me green is receiving data, orange is sending data, all ports linked to each other so interchangeable in connection for whatever purpose.Personally proof is in the use so this connected as per the user manual, a hub for four CCTV camera connections, the video feed delivered to a CCTV multi camera video recorder, this achieved over a distance of around 100 metres in total without problem, all working and recording at the same time.A second test connecting 1 x PC, 2 x Laptops to my modem, again no problem all receiving and transmitting data at up to 1000Mbps, unfortunately this little box unable to work with POE CCTV cameras although a rotational PTZ camera could be used with a separate power supply.Although not tried the user manual states these splitters can be daisy chained to provide even more feeds but I consider 1 to 4 enough for one RJ45 cable, this item works as described despite debate on the naming description, for me more than adequate for the intended purpose I have and will be using it for.

It does what it says, and the LED indicators on each port are handy.

This RJ45 Ethernet splitter / switch comes safely boxed together with instructions and USB-C power cable. Build quality seems pretty good, the splitter doesn't feel too lightweight and has a smart aluminium trim. Three RJ45 ports are on one side, while on the other are two more and the USB-C port. This makes powering the box very easy as if the cable is too short I can use a longer one of my own. There are no feet so it will slide around.Performance is great, my router doesn't have enough ports for all my devices so I am using this splitter to give me more and it has been working with no issues. Max output is 1000Mbps which is fine for my purposes, overall I'm very happy with this splitter.

This is a network switch box, which allows 5 devices to be networked with each other simultaneously. That is not what it says on the Amazon title and description...The Amazon description says that this is a 'network splitter' which can connect up to 2 network devices simultaneously. This is not true.On testing, all 5 network devices can connect seamlessly and simultaneously. There is no 2 device limit. If one of the network connections is an internet connection, then it will supply internet connections to all the other connected devices.Connections are made automatically, without any manual setup.Incidentally, the cardboard box which it came in states that it is an HDMI Interface. That is another mistake !!That aside, it is a compact, well built device. It has a tough aluminium metal case, a premium appearance, and is powered by a USB C socket + cable (which they provide). All the connections are 'gigabit', which is the standard maximum speed for most home networking solutions. It has the green & orange LED indicators so you can tell which of the connections are active, or if something is not working, or if the plug has mistakenly half pulled out.I tested the speed of the connection, and got a maximum file transfer speed of 115MB/sec which is close to the theoretical maximum. So, in summary, this is a good quality network switch which does all that it should. Similar network switches, including ones from well known brands, are available at significantly cheaper prices, so you should consider this aspect when making your choice. It does work, but for the confusing description, and questionable 'value for money', it gets 4 stars. If they correct their Amazon description, I would consider giving it 5 stars.

Was not sure what to make of this device. Printed on the Box are the words "High-Definition Multimedia Interface" and "Fighting for the Dream". An added label states "RJ45 Ethernet Splitter 1 to 4 out". The little network diagram printed on the top of the metal box looks odd too, with a node apparently not connected inline. The device is metal, with two RJ45 ports and the USB-C power port on one side. On the opposite side is a three more RJ45 ports. All of the ports are marked the same, 1000Mbps, None are marked for a particular purpose. The item description had me looking up what IPTV was, thinking that perhaps it was made for a specific functionality. But that is not a proprietary hardware specification.Plugged one port into a 20 meter RJ45 cable with the other end directly into Virgin Media hub. Then plugged in three laptops. Performed a speed test on each laptop, one at a time, which all reported the maximum download that I have (380Mbps) and 40Mbps upload. I Then performed the test again on two of them, and saw the Download and Upload speed shared evenly between the two.I intend to place this device behind the TV to plug a few of the entertainment devices in that are either using an Ethernet over Power adapter or Mesh WiFi. As such it does what I need, looks nice, and has flashing LED's on each RJ45 connector.
