I’ve been an auto collision technician for 40 years. This tool works! I read the bad reviews about string breaking and tried it anyway. (It’s so cheap). Like any tool in this industry it takes some common sense. Don’t drag the string across sharp edges. I started out being extremely careful because of the reviews I read but since have gotten pretty comfortable with it. I’ve taken off dozens of nameplates and moldings and have not broken the string one time. This is a great tool to add in addition to your other removal tools. Really good for curved surfaces, tight areas, fresh paint (yep, it happens). This is a specialty tool. Your probably not going to remove Body Side Moldings, you could, just take longer than a traditional molding tool.

Cleaned up 2 different vehicles, it did great. Would be nice if it had extra strings.. it ripped on me twice

Great idea.. Poor execution.String snapped twice when trying to remove the double sided tape from an emblem. Emblem was heated to soften. Gonna return this one for sure.

I attempted to use this to remove badging. The string is too weak to hold up and broke right away every time I would replace it.I spent so much time putting new string on.I used all of them before I was even done.I utilized fishing line with the handles instead.The handles are also made for small people.

There is a reason this comes with extra cord because the first time we used it, it broke immediately trying to get the decal off the truck. Broke again the second and third time. Needs to be sturdier. We really just wanted the handles but was hopeful the cord would do its job.
