Used it for the first time to load an 850-lb diesel compressor on wheels up a trailer ramp and inside. Ten minutes later, I loaded another 500-lb piece of equipment. During the second loading/pull, the winch stopped—like the remote lost connectivity. It happened two or three times very briefly but ultimately it kept running and accomplished the task. This didn’t happen at all during first, heavier pull, so I thought maybe the winch motor got a little hot. It was hot outside—like 90ºF. Still this winch worked extremely well—way better than two full-size men pushing and pulling—so I’m very pleased with the performance and purchase. The only other issue I had was making sure the cable spools evenly onto the internal drum as it’s pulling in. I had to go to the unit and push/pull (left/right) to get it to wind side to side in an even manner. Maybe you don’t HAVE to do this, but I didn’t want to let it pull onto the drum and see what happens. It’s a better question for the manufacturer. Regardless, I don’t think it’s a good idea—especially if there is a slight pull/bias to one side—to just keep winching and not supervise/manage respooling onto the drum. Overall, the unit is strong, fast and easy to use. It is ready to deploy right out of the box. All the accessories (wired remote, gloves, one pull strap, steel anchor point and hardware) were a great add/bonus—especially the strap which I used both time—for an amazing price. The basic, wireless remote is fantastic and all I used.

I have a car that has dedicated summer and winter wheel and tire sets. They are 18inch diameter very wide tires and are quite hefty. For years I had used a block and tackle (with no mechanical advantage)to pull them one at a time from the garage floor (with straps to attach the line) into my garage attic(16+ feet vertical).I finally decided to stop the madness and try a winch. This wasn't the cheapest but is extremely portableand has local, RF and wired control for up/down.It worked fine (although I am way below the rated max).My only complaint is that even at light/no loads it is very slow.

This works great, pulled in structural wall of garage to repair, fix damaged door track, etc. this thing is powerful, and as advertised, does great in horizontal or vertical applications. This unit is a champ (and a beast) for medium duty lifting, pulling, winching allkinda of loads. Seems it would do better than max load a bit. The hooks are SOLID heavy, locking and inspire confidence. The price is right. It’s compact enough to move around among multiple locations in shop, basement, garage. Good for use in remote areas on your property too. I’m planning on building a tall tree house in the Spring and this will surely play a starring role. Love the two remote controls wireless and wired switch. Finding more uses, lift for truck bed cap, canoe, bike lift, luggage rack, furniture/projects to paint/finish suspended easier. Glad I have this confident winch in house now. It’s also fun!

This hoist/winch has paid for itself and I can’t believe I didn’t buy this sooner. I needed boulders for a retaining wall and built a tripod hoist , but I also needed a winch that could be moved around from the trailer to other places to create angles. I read some of the reviews that complained of some wire cable issues, but I haven’t experienced that, and I’ve been picking up boulders up to 500-600lbs. Maybe they were hoisting something beyond a 1000lbs. I recommend getting a hanging scale if you’re unsure of maxing out the capacity of this hoist. Anyhow, I love it so far. The gloves that come with it are comical, but whatever, my 10 year old can use them. Idk who their hand fit model was, but I have man hands, and those gloves look like a costume novelty.

I didn’t expect this to be bulletproof for the price but it seemed to start coming apart after a couple dozen uses. The plug for the controller came apart with only the weight of the controller and cable hanging on it. Now only the remote controller works. Then the ground prong came out of the power plug. I’m still using it, it still works. But next time I will buy higher quality.

Bought this and put it up in the shed intending on using it when needed. when the need arose it didn`t work. I contacted customer support , they responded quickly. informed me that the spring may be stuck from shipping. suggested i tap on the sides with a rubber or soft mallet. WOW , it worked. very impressed with their knowledge of the situation. kudos !!

The cable of this hoist is of very poor quality and frayed the first time we used it. It was a simple job: haul rocks on flat ground. The rocks were of moderate size: 200 to 300 lbs, at most - well below the 1100 lbs for which this thing is rated. The rocks were hauled one at a time. Each rock was wrapped in a harness which was attached to the hook of the hoist. After a couple of rocks, I noticed that 10-15% of the threads that made up the cable had ruptured. I was very disappointed. This hoist had become too dangerous to use. I considered replacing the cable with a better one, but, upon examination, this is not something that could be done easily. This purchase was a complete waste of money.

Haven't used the winch for intended use yet, but have 3 initial comments at this time:1) Thought that the remote control was missing but seller told me to look in the foam packing (their response was very quick). Physically a very small remote control. DID NOT COME WITH BATTERY - BATTERY IS AN UNUSUAL SIZE AND NEED TO LOCATE WHERE TO PURCHASE - THE PRODUCT SHOULD COME WITH A BATTERY.2) The unit's gears are extremely noisy. Makes me worry how long it will last before failure. Suggest that they lubricate the gears with a heavy grease to lower the friction noise.3) As other have mentioned in their reviews, the cable takes about a second to stop after letting go of the Down or Up button, therefore you need to anticipate this and let go of the button in advance since the cable travels maybe 2 inches more before stopping.Hope to update review after using unit for some time.

Je cherchais depuis quelques temps un treuil portatif en 230 V.Mon choix s'est porté sur ce treuil (version 500 Kg).Après un recul de 6 mois d'utilisations (3 à 4 fois par mois, charge comprise entre 50 Kg et 200 Kg) :Très bon produit, la télécommande sans fil est vraiment un + (même si elle a quelques ratées).Le crochet de fixation est le point fort de ce produit, on l'accroche où l'on veut avec une sangle.
