I had one of these before and they are great. Writes smoothly, looks good, travels well. I like it because it’s not too “tactical†looking so it doesn’t raise eyebrows with TSA.

So, I don't recall ever having a "true" tactical pen or paying this much for a writing utensil. But NEXTORCH won me over. At first, I tossed it in my car for emergencies and forgot about it. Then, I was working on projects in the garage and grabbed it from my car to mark measurements. It works like a charm on everything. I can etch markings on metal or plastic and write notes anywhere, anytime, without the ink not working because I'm not on a flat surface. If it keeps holding up, then I'll add one to my go bags. For right now, it's my main utensil for writing and marking when doing any indoor or outdoor projects.
