About this item

  • [ MULTIFUNCTIONAL ] Handheld Kitchen Tool that can mince all kinds of ingredients, from garlic, to ginger, herbs, nuts and more! [ INSTRUCTIONS ] Use the Garlic Twister to "Smash" the garlic clove and loosen the skin for peeling (see video) this also softens the garlic. Place 2-3 cloves in the unit, and progressively twist while working your way down. Expect minced bits mixed with juices to come out!
  • [ REMOVING INGREDIENTS ] Pack into triangles (see video) by lightly twisting side to side for easy removal of garlic. Should you find it difficult to twist, "pre-smash" the garlic as above. This weakens the clove making it easier to twist.
  • [ GINGER & MORE ] First slice the ginger into narrow discs before placing into the Garlic Twister. See "Stir Fry" video above for demo. Try it for nuts to top your ice cream! NO MORE messy garlic presses, squashing garlic with rockers, grating, pressing or rolling garlic to peel the skin!
  • [ IT GETS BETTER ] As you continue to use the Twister, you'll discover more ways to use it. We are available to assist with any issues.
  • [ MADE IN USA ] Patented Design, BPA-FREE, and Backed by a Lifetime Guarantee. Disclaimer: If you have wrist arthritis, this product may be harder for you to use. Please read our FAQ below.

Product Description

Garlic Twister. Twist. Rinse. Easy to use.

THE GARLIC TWISTER

The Garlic Twister is a revolutionary kitchen device. Home cooks' kitchens are often crowded with "single-purpose" devices (think: garlic press). The Garlic Twister remains the most functional tool in the kitchen drawer - perfect for mincing garlic, ginger, nuts, shallots, olives, and more! Combine garlic and ginger for a perfect stir-fry, or throw in some herbs for your freshest rub. Try the Garlic Twister for nuts, and you can make your sundae ice cream! Invented by a father to cook for his children, this item is for the families.

How to use garlic twister. First Twist to mince. Then pack into triangles. reveal the end!

Make sure you pack your garlic prior to removal!

FAQ:

How do I peel the garlic skin?

Grip the Garlic Twister, and give the clove a "whack!". This loosens the skin for quick removal.

The garlic gets "stuck" in the unit after twisting.

Make sure you pack the garlic into "triangles" prior to removal (see picture above), this gets it out from between the teeth.

To form the two triangles, twist in one direction until you form two triangles. Then, twist in the opposite direction to compact your ingredients and gather the garlic off the teeth. Finally, turn again to push the ingredients to the middle.

I have wrist arthritis. Can I use the Garlic Twister?

People with more severe wrist arthritis may have a harder time. However, many people with milder arthritis are able to use the gadget.

Here are a few tips: - Grip the Garlic Twister and give the garlic clove a "slap" to loosen the clove. This fractures the clove allowing subsequent twisting to be much easier. - When twisting, work your way down. Don't start with the unit fully closed. Start with just 2-3 cloves until you get used to the motion. Once you are familiar with it, you can do up to 5-6 cloves at a time (that's what we do!)

How do I clean the unit?

First, make sure you twist to form the triangles as mentioned above to prevent garlic from being stuck between the teeth. For cleaning, a quick rinse under the faucet or in the dishwasher will do the trick.

Is this BPA-free?

Yes it is! This is made of Tritan - dishwasher safe, BPA free material. Remember the Nalgene bottles? That's it! We would not trust other products that claim to be BPA free.

We bought one of these for ourselves ages ago, and it's become an indispensable kitchen tool for us. We love it because it works beautifully, it's simple, and you can throw it in the dishwasher. It grinds up garlic quickly and easily, and it's infinitely easier to use and maintain than the typical garlic press. We like it so much we've bought many as gifts for friends and family who love to cook, including another two this year for holiday gifts. The designers who thought up the garlic twister deserve a genius award!

This put a whole new twist, pun intended, on crushing garlic. Of all the garlic crushers I’ve ever owned, I always hoped that there’d be one that would actually be ideal, this is it. Cleaning them took too long and I resorted to chopping the garlic myself. It’s easy to use, attractive, easy to clean and truly does save time. The plastic does not absorb garlic odor. The garlic quickly turns into a paste which I couldn’t do myself manually. I’m looking forward to trying it with other items, and plan to get one for my daughter.

Been mincing fresh garlic 2 or3 days a week for years now, but randomly stumbled across this. Fully expected it not to work well, or snap the teeth, but... got it anyway, since I was never 100% thrilled with existing mincers. After 2 uses, I was dumbfounded at how much better this was. Minces 3x easier than my old squeeze grip mincers. Quicker to “load” Cloves too, and can use twice as many. Cloves STAYPUT and do not slide out mid-way thru. After some practice, you can adjust how “crushed” you want it as well- broken/minced/practicallypuree.After 1st week of uses, the back and forth grind motion became muscle memory; i spend more energy breaking open bulbs than mincing now, not the other way around.Warning tho- the outer “handles” used to grip it are **completely smooth**; there is no sandy coarseness or ridging carved in, to keep a good grip. Would be 5star if it did. I can grip/grind without much issue, but for anyone that struggles with hand/wrist issues, I wouldn’t exactly recommend it without one of those flat rubber jar assist openers or similar.Clearing the garlic out is fairly ok, I use either a spoon or a small silicone bowl scrapper.Cleaning doesn’t take much effort either- I’m a daily garlic mincer now (since.. its easy now) so I use a bristle brush under some warm tap water+detergent thru the week. Takes a whole minute to wash/dry and back on the counter for tomorrow’s use. Doesn’t retain any garlic smell either. I add it to the Dishwasher topshelf 1x week; no warping at all. Been thru ?a dozen+? cycles by now, seems legit.I’m a Garlic fan, I add it to dishes frequently, so... this goes on my Kitchen #MustHave List. Ginger mincing works “good” (but not great) for me as well, but not my primary use.Was about to buy a 2nd Garlictwister (for cycling usage, or eventually... travel :), but think I’ll wait for a Gen5; see if they add some grip along the “corners” or something. Or maybe... A CAP to store the other half of the bulb... found a bamboo lid rounded with a rubber ring that inserts perfectly (like a shallow cork) from a set of 200ml Borosilicate jars i have (EZOware? EVOware? Something like that)Would Buy Again. In a heartbeat. WILL buy another in the future.

I’ve tried many garlic mincers and this is the best one. It’s the easiest to use because you turn it rather than press it. There is no waste- it grinds, minces, crushes the entire peeled clove. It is also the easiest to clean. Any residue is easily removed and you can put it in the dishwasher. This is a game changer for food prep.

Still not sure about this gadget! The concept is excellent but my garlic (homegrown) does not gather in nice neat little triangles on the sides; regardless of how long I grind it! Jury still out; stay tuned . . . . . . Extremely easy to clean; stores well. WELL. . . . . . I figured it out! Size does matter. Our smaller homegrown garlic is sadly too small for this gadget; however, larger store bought garlic works best!

I have this purchase couple of years ago and still enjoy using it. I believe mine is the 1st generation and this one I just purchased is the latest generation which the design has improved. I brought this for my daughter as she has kept stealing mine to use. She loves it so much as this latest generation is even easier to use without using too much pressure to twist. My son-in-law comments that this is the best household gift for them!I did a research before I brought this just to avoid I have brought the copy one. This one is an authentic and has a promising result every time using it to grind !!!
