The card bulges slightly so it's not as smooth putting it into my 7D as a genuine CF card would be, but this isn't an issue for me. My camera complained the first time until I formatted the card in the camera. It takes pictures absolutely fine, however I haven't tried any burst captures and and I think this will be it's Achilles' heel any here's why :: A UDMA compliant Compact Flash card can manage >100Mb/s even in my old Canon 7D. This adaptor card can only manage ~20Mb/s writing to the SD card inside the CF body. So in situations where the camera wants to write images in very quick succession, it will fail to do so. In time I will test it out in this scenario and update as necessary - NOTE If you have an old slow SD card you may not achieve @20Mb/s :I used a brand new USB 3.0 CF card reader to test the read and write speeds [see pics]. Downloads from the card to a PC will manage ~24Mb/s, uploads to the card take ~20Mb/s. This is not a issue for me right now, if it ever becomes one I will buy a SANDisk 64GB Compact Flash card (UDMA7)[ https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00NUB2RPW ] for around £45 (so £30 more than this). A 64GB CF card will manage >2500 high res [RAW+JPG] files for my Canon 7D (~25Mb per picture)*UPDATE* I decided to return this and get the Sandisk 64Gb UDMA CF card mentioned above - Burst shots are something I want to experiment with so I'd rather not be potentially disappointed in the future. For only £11 more than I paid for this (~£15) Amazon also sell a Transcend 32Gb UDMA CF card [ https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00KSLLR12/ ]I still recommend this if you're on a budget, have a SD Card handy (you will need an full SD size adaptor if you have a MicroSD card - MicroSD cards generally come with one) and burst shots aren't going to be a potential issue. This adapter is currently (Nov 25 2024) on sale for £11.88 (Black Friday price)
