Two electrodes makes the difference! My husband is an above average home mechanic (he has rebuilt engines, transfer cases, transmissions etc.) so recently when our 00 Camry started having a random misfire, he started investing the problem. The first thing he did was check, clean and re-gap the old plugs (which were only 4 months old) and it still misfired. He checked everything over and over until our friend who is a Toyota mechanic advised changing to dual electrode spark plugs saying that 9 times out of 10 at the dealer this was the problem. He further stated that Toyota's are fickle about spark plugs and that they really do need the dual electrode ones. We were both not convinced one bit but we ordered them anyway and bam! The car runs like a dream! We love our Camry and have never done anything other then standard maintenance and it now runs like a smooth new car once again thanks to these spark plugs. The picture looks like a single electrode but these in fact are dual electrode. These are our go to spark plug from now on that are well worth the money!

After using Bosch plugs, I decided to go with these for my Toyota. Toyotas seem to like the double ground type plugs and so far I noticed my car runs better and the engine seems quieter too somehow. These cost more so perhaps they are worth it...or if you need to, Bosch isn't bad either.Update 3 years later: These were the best plugs I've used...Car ran smoother than with Bosch. My car is pretty old with nearly 300K miles on it so I can't blame the plugs for getting a little worn out and gunky after 3 years and 20K miles but I'm ordering the same ones (in a 4 pack version) now.

When the engineers designed the 3sfe motor for the Rav4, Camry, Celica & or other toyotas that used this from the mid 80s up until the early 2000s. They designed it with the intention to only use it with a 2 tip design. The torque lb for the spark plugs are at 13 lbs. NGK suggests you do not need sparkplug seize grease, I still add a very slight amount. " Do what you feel comfortable with "These do not last as long as Iridium plugs which is the only downside.

These were OEM fit for my 96 Toyota Avalon XL. The engine requires a dual gap electrode and these were a perfect fit. You can really tell the performance difference, my old ones had 100k and these smoothed it out with a noticeable increase in power. Comes pre gapped.

NGK Platinum plugs last longer than others. Keeps milage and Proformance when replacing them at the recommended time. Does cost more but works better than most.

After quite a lot of experience, I've learned not to bother with anything but the correct OEM plugs used in the factory on modern vehicles. These were the exact plug for my RAV4 at a great price.

1997 Toyota Camry LE 4cyl. 2.2LI ordered 4 of these separately and they still gave the effort of putting them together in one pack, lol. I also haven't had any problems or errors with them so far.

Bought it as an add-on item for $6.07/ea however there was a limit of 3. So I split my order and bought 2 with the intent to buy 2 more the next day on a second order. The price went up to $17 then $22 so not it's not such a good deal anymore. I wish I had bought 3 now.
