I can tell the difference between the stock plugs and this Iridium plug, Better smoother acceleration, quick start, feel more power IMO. I highly recommended this plugs on your 96-present DR's. that extra $ makes a differences and will last longer. so it's worth it.

I put these in my DR650 at .032 gap. The old plugs were stock CR9 something with a .022 gap. I should have checked the gap after I bought the bike but the previous owner was a mechanic so I shook it off. I had a tiny dead spot down low and figured it was the needle...Then I installed these plugs. Dead spot gone, increased low end power, better wheelies and maybe quicker revving. It really felt like I gained a hp or two. DR650's really like this plug.

Listed as correct part for motorcycle. Would not work because are 5/8 drive shoulder and need to be 9/16 drive.

Worked great on my 2005 DR650, the iridium is great as well as they virtually last forever. Definitely worth the few extra bucks over a standard plug. Came perfectly gapped as well.This plug should work on DR650's ranging from 1996 to at least 2010, I'm not sure about the newer ones, but check the forums and an answer should easily be found there.My old plugs were pretty fouled which was causing sputtering issues. I think my old plugs were also pretty "hot", which certainty didn't help. These are considered standard plugs, I believe the main difference is a resistor within the ceramic section which limits some of the current (amps) to the spark gap itself to prevent the plugs from running too hot.
