When this works, it works well. Honestly, any issues can't really be blamed on the lens, either - it's mostly the autofocus from the camera that has a difficult time. You'll see the difference in the two images I've uploaded - both are with the lens attached.Update: Bumping it up to 5 stars, after learning I can attach it to the 58mm lenses for my Canon DSLR. The manual focus of a DSLR really cut out focus issues I was having with the B500.

How do you properly attach and use this lens for the Nikon coolPixB500! When I attach the lens and turn the camera on it automatically turn off. Need help.

The lens comes with an adapter to attach it. It literally fell off while I was shooting. Upon putting it back on, the adapter cracked. Such a waste of money. Don't bother with this.

Got this lens and three other lenses for my sons birthday. The lenses were 58mm the adapter was 62mm. Sent them alll back. No mention of sizes anywhere.

I now can take extreme close up pics with my Nikon Coolpix 500. This filter kit of macro lens makes for GREAT extreme close up photos possible.
