The predecessor, Z6 II, was an exceptional camera to begin with. The video was acceptable, down-sampled 4K from 6K, it was sharp. The let down was the 8-bit 4:2:0 internal shooting. There wasn’t much latitude in post, so it wasn't a true enthusiasts hybrid camera. The Z6 II left shooters desiring a more videocentric camera. Now they have it here with the Z6 III, we’ve got the same 24.5mp resolution which is plenty, and exceptional for low light photography and especially video. True Z6 enthusiast didn’t ask for higher resolution since the Z8 covers that. We got the low light and now we the video features with 6K/60p internal raw at full sensor readout, great waveform, line-in, RAW, ProRES, H.265 and H.264 codecs. Amazing. You got the image quality, now you have the video. This camera is a perfect companion to your Z8 or as it’s own platform. With Pixel-Shift, it’s got landscapes covered. It’s small, it’s light, and it packs a punch well above its price level. In fact, you cant get these specs in a camera less than $4000

Long time Nikon user with a lot of older F Mount lenses. I have a D610 but it just wasn’t cutting it. I’m retired.I had looked at the viewfinders of the “mirrorless†cameras years ago and took a pass.These OLED screens are superb.Nikon continues their tradition of solid pro quality equipment. Movies or stills this camera excels.

I upgraded from Z5. Z6iii truly is a huge leap for me, so many features both in stills and video, great customization room, great sensor , very fast , no banding , almost no rolling shutter. Focusing is light years ahead of my Z5, especially in low light , zero hustle and struggle. Highly capable tool and very happy to own one.

It's an amazing camera for the money, gradually got there, Z6 first then Z6 II, the Z6 III is a major upgrade but be prepared for some learning curve as options for setting up is a little more involved.

As a 15+ year Nikon camera user, this is to date my favorite one so far. I also own and use a Z9, Zf, Z6ii, as well as several previous DSLRs and film cameras. The size, ergonomics, and capabilities of this camera make it my go to camera for 99% of situations, for both work and personal use.

Was packed for shipping so that it easily shifted around in the shipping box. Arrived with the manufacturer's box clearly having already been opened since all of the accessories were already out of their respective bags and the battery was already installed. And on top of that the english language manual was missing. Not to mention the electronic viewfinder seems glitchy and unstable. This will be returned. Not a good experience at all. Shame on Nikon.

Very pleased with the 6III. I currently own a Z9 as my main camera and replaced my Z6 with this for my secondary camera. To be honest, I often reach for this more than my Z9 now.ProsNice and lightNew flip screen is a game changer for certain shoots I do.The colours straight out of camera are great.Older batteries and memory cards from my Z6 work with thisVideo capabilities are stellar. 6K raw is fantastic for this price rangeCons:The metal connectors for the strap get in the way of the memory card slot, it becomes inconvenient to remove memory cards (not a deal breaker).It is outrageous that it doesn't come with an external charger just like every other Nikon Camera that I have owned previously.

Ya tenÃa una Z6 primera generación y estaba muy feliz con ella pero este año decidà pasar del hobby a tomar la foto como una profesión por lo que requerÃa un segundo equipo.El cuerpo y en general la estructura y organización de los botones es casi igual pero lo que hace la diferencia es el procesador el cual ayuda mucho al auto foco el cual para la fotografÃa deportiva es esencial.Ya le eché el ojo a la Z8 pero por lo pronto estoy muy contento con mis Z6s
