This is the only way to go when it comes to getting a light bar or fog light set installed on a vehicle. Just plug the light or lights in the dual male and female spade connector and attach the positive and negative to the battery. If it is a tight spot for running through the firewall or something like that the switch is on a nice plastic plug system and it can be unhooked and run it out of the firewall and re plug the switch to the rest of the harness and all that is done. No more than a few minutes and your done. And the switch is really nice and relaxed blue light in it is very good looking. It is able to be changed from off when it is switched off to glow when on, or plug the second wire up to the switch and it will come on constantly and glow blue on and off. It is even holding up to my saltwater fishing boat abuse. It is so good to even be used for any thing that is needing a switch and 1 or 2 output leads. However I have to be honest and mention that to mount the switch in a nice way to make it look great then you have to cut a hole to get the switch into an it pushes in and has teeth to grab the inside of the hole for the switch and the hard part is the hole. It is a rectangle switch and requires a rectangle hole to be put in and there is no room for any error to cutting the hole. So I used a DeWalt zip tool for it since I was able to plunge cut straight into the dash and it has a flat blade and it can be done by carefully measuring the switch and then drawing the lines in a very precise manner and it is a perfect fit and look like a factory job. A rotory sideways cutting drill bit and marking the template and then you can get closer and closer to the edge of the hole till you get it perfect. You can always take off more material to fit it in but you can never put material back on after the cut is made. Measure 3 times and cut once.. i am a die-hard fabrication expert and I have a lot of knowledge of electrical work and i worked for a custom car shop for years and I currently do home renovation and flipping for a living.. so I know a thing or two about building and modifying stuff and get really crazy about accuracy and tolerance.. did i mention that I went to college for machinist training and cnc programming. Metal fabrication and auto restoration and paint and body degree.. I don't joke about perfection and I would never accept anything less than perfect either.

The 12 ft of wire is all the leads, to the switch and the leads for the lights. Unless you are hooking up something on the front of the vehicle, you will need more wire. The leads for the battery terminals are pretty short, so the relay had to be installed very close to the battery. Otherwise happy with it. I had never done anything like this before but the kit made it pretty simple. Even with the wire extension it’s a way better value than buying all the parts separately.Also, if you want to wire it to your vehicle’s ACC the easiest way is to get a “fuse tapâ€.

This wire harness was perfect for some old LED lights I had laying around and threw them on the project truck. The switch comes pre-wired, so I took a picture before unplugging it for easy reinstall and fit the dash blank with minor sanding of the edges. Hardest part was deciding how to route the wires, otherwise the harness came with a very clear diagram to show how to hook everything up.
