I bought this switch because I got a relay wiring harness for aux lights from the same brand that had a typical automotive switch, and I hoped this handlebar switch would be a direct plug and play with that harness - it was!-Install was easy, 2 screws and it fits snug on my 7/8th inch handlebars without moving around.-the switch has a rubber boot but I would say it is more of a water deterrent instead of a seal as the boot is held in place by the pressure of the switch clipped into the casing.-the wires coming out the back do have a nice thick wire loom or shrink wrap that I expect will protect the wires but there is no silicone or anything keeping water from the inside of the switch. I will probably add a drop of silicone myself, but I was glad they didn’t have it because it allows you to remove the switch from the casing if you need to for any reason.*Update: since writing the original review I have ridden my bike in heavy rainfall multiple times. The only way I could have exposed the switch to more water was if I submerged it in a bucket. No issues, no flickering, still works exactly as it should so I believe it is as water resistant as it needs to be for a motorcycle application.Overall happy with it, looks good on my bike and it works. Very easy install.

Part required machining before it would function. The screws were really short, and the housing demanded longer screws to fit over the advertised handlebar size, so I had to drill out the holes in the housing to shorten the distance the screws needed to bridge. The manufacturing was pretty poor; the part was missing metal, and seems to be poorly molded, rather than milled from a solid piece, but it does function with some modification. Hopefully the threads will hold and it will fare the conditions. Otherwise, the switch functions as advertised. I wish this was an option with the kit I bought so I didn’t have to buy a second switch, which nearly doubled the price of the project (pair of cube lights with controller, cables, and switch were $25, whereas the second switch was an extra $15), but I’m happy with the end result.

The switch illuminates when it's turned on I like that feature, But I don't think there's much else you can say about an on off switch it does what it's supposed to do and I'm happy with it.

The switch mounting bracket was not properly milled, which made it difficult to properly line up to secure. In the process I could not get the second screw on. May have to do some drilling to round out the bracket. 10 min project swap will turn into a 1.5 hour fix.

Much better quality than other similar switches. Great to have a matching connector-- no splicing.
