Took some time to get this spare tire holder for my boat trailer, but when it did arrive I was pretty pleased.Made of steel and with a good coat of black paint for the main piece and backer plate. That was impressive. Very solid. The hardware on the other hand is kinda cheap and will for sure rust out in no time.I’m still pleased though and will just purchase some more weather resistant nuts and bolts when I install this.I would recommend this item for its build and sturdiness.

If your spare tire is mounted where the tool box would go on the tongue this makes it easy to move so you can install a tool box.

I've installed this on a 12' utility trailer of mine. I've never had a good place to keep the spare wheel/tire. This bracket solved the problem. It installed super easily. It bolted right up to the frame without any issues. Fitting it to the spare lug pattern was simple. I am really impressed with how sturdy it is. Build quality is great! I do need to reinforce the frame of my trailer. I've always been suspicious of it. Now that I have my spare mounted to the frame, I can see it flexing. No big deal... I'll weld on some square tubing and angle iron to beef things up. Now that the spare tire bracket is installed in a spot that I like, I'll probably weld it to the frame as well. It's not necessary but I think it would be good to do while I'm welding things anyway.I fully recommend this spare tire carrier/bracket. It's a quality setup and will last many, many years without any question!

I just needed a place to attach my spare on the trailer and this does nicely. It has heavy powder coating which should keep it looking good for a long while.I was a little concerned when I first tried to mount it because my upright piece of angle that I intended to mount it was slightly too wide to allow it to mount as designed. I ended up rotating it 90 degrees and it mounted easily. It will make it a little less strong, but I believe that it will have plenty of strength mounted like that. I could have built my own mount, but it was just as cheap to buy it. The mounting plate is large and has plenty of holes to make it more versatile so you could mount it on many things.

The tire mount is well made out of quality materials. It is easy to install and easy to put the tire on and take it off. It is solid and durable. We actually used it to mount the spare tire of our truck to the toolbox in the back of the bed. The under-the-bed mount fell apart, and we prefer to have the spare in the bed so that if we get stuck in the mud or snow, don't have to worry about digging out the spare to be able to put it on.

Very well built, holds and fits perfectly on trailer frame, easy to install and functions perfectly, holds tire with ease and value for the money

This is well built and solid. Works nice as a spare tire mount for my trailer, and the tire feels very secure mounted to it. The only thing to consider is with the tire mounted to this, it measures approximately 10" from the outside of the shaft that goes down into the trailer pocket, to the outside of the tire (tire is 205/75-15). The fenders on my trailer (it's a car hauler with rails around it) measure 8" out from the frame, so the spare tire sticks out another 2". With a 225/75-15, it would stick out approximately another 1/2".
