222 lbs., need maneuvering support right where this device pokes into the doors latch. Door Assist Handle works just right.Somewhere, instructions said something about The Handle locking into place. Or maybe clicking into place. I don't see anything clicking. That's not a problem; when you're leaning on The Handle, it's not going to slip or go anywhere. When inserted into the door latch, you can make The Handle wiggle a little bit, but it's not a problem. When you're pushing down on it, it's certainly not going to slip out of the door latch.Only problem is that we forget to use it. The door has a storage pocket, which the Door Assist Handle fits into snuggly. Maybe if if were less snuggly, we wouldn't keep forgetting to take it out of the pocket and use it when we get out of the car. Car is a '99 Camry with only 110k miles.Simple, 5 stars.

I bought this for my husband, always a passenger now, to use since he seems to take forever to get turned and feet out and shimmied into a get out of the car position. But he won't use it. Period. I, however, don't really need it but I use it because the extra support that this gizmo gives is just super and makes me smile. So simple but so effective. One of these days my husband may use it, who knows. But until then, I am still very happy with the functionality of this little device. Yes, I recommend it

Was a bit skeptical when I saw these but now that I have used them I wonder how I ever got along without them. Nice and strong, well made, aluminium casting is nice and smooth, no rough edges. The incorporated window breaker built into it could very well be a life save one day. Overall I highly recomment this product.
