My boyfriend and I searched for a long time trying to find a reasonably priced wooden futon frame. He was worried that whatever we bought wouldn't be sturdy enough. When this frame came in the mail it arrived in two boxes, my boyfriend put it together with a couple of tools in a about an hour and a half. He said the directions were very clear, and everything was labeled (do make sure to check the labels on the actual pieces, as they tell you for certain what goes where). The frame is solid wood, but there are no places where wood is connecting to wood without some sort of buffer. It has three different modes, and even with an extra thick futon mattress it adjusts easily. it doesn't creak, it doesn't wobble, and it looks great. This is better than what we hoped for, really excellent product!

So this FUTON is as expected - It is VERY well made , excellent craftsman ship , instructions are easy to follow and the parts are color coordinated . Do you're self a favor and buy a good Allen-wrench the one supplied will round off before the first piece is assembled . One person can put it together , although if you get the queen like we did the final assembly is easier with 2 people . We got this futon because it DID NOT COME WITH THE MATTRESS , the reviews were not good as far as sleeping comfort . So we went to Lowes and purchased 6 - 26 x 32 x 6 " lawn furniture cushions that were ON SALE for 14.99 each sell price was 59.99 each - yes we have to many pillows, but can you really have to many pillows ? We also purchased a queen quality air mattress for 149.00 for sleeping , it came out about the same price as the mattress would have. So Very happy with this product , I took one star off because there was 1 screw missing and i had to get one at Lowes that did not match and the Allen-wrench was a piece of you know what ****

I'm super impressed with the quality of this futon couch. Absolutely high-end furniture grade quality. Instructions could have been better, but they did the trick. It would have been tough to put together alone - I was lucky to have my wife help. Would purchase again if another was needed.Note the futon arrives in two boxes. I was worried when only one box arrived, and Amazon marked the order as 'delivered.' The second box arrived a day or two later.

Frame is beautiful, however the instructions were not easy to use. It would be helpful if there were stickers on the parts that corresponded with the directions so that you can tell what is front and what is back. Otherwise we did figure it out and it took about 1 hour with two people working on it to put it together. The only other thing was thatwe originally thought it came with a mattress but it does not so we ordered that separately. In the end all is good...fits nicely in our sun room and makes another spot where we can house friends for Thanksgiving.

This mattress is VERY comfortable! It is sturdy, well-made, not overly squishy and not rock hard. There was no off-gassing at all. It is quite dense/heavy, so putting it up with two people is necessary. I work out on a regular basis, and I cannot lift the queen futon to get it in its upright position.Well worth what I paid for it. I'm a picky consumer and not easy to please, honestly.Two pillows came with it. Also, very substantial pillow construction. They are quite full of chunks of memory foam and are a bit too substantial to use for sleeping, but they provide a nice amount of cushion when you lean up against them. The same material on the mattress is what covers these, and it is high quality furniture fabric.

Very disappointed that the front board of our futon, which we just bought in the second half of 2022, split and broke after just 2.25 years of normal use! We tried to glue it, but, it quickly broke again. Very unhappy, indeed. Trying to contact the seller and manufacturer, but, no luck so far.

The frame is very sturdy, the directions were well thought out, and it looks good. I would give it a 5 star rating, but the bottom shelf is angled down instead of level with the floor. Unfortunately, this is less comfortable than our traditional sofa, and I cannot sit there very long. It's a great bang for your buck, but spend the money on an expensive futon frame with a flat bottom piece if you have back problems.

I read that some people had issues with assembly, but it went fine for us, with all parts included. We accidentally reversed the two longest boards, not noticing that it specified which should be in the front and which in the back. They looked identical but we disassembled and reassembled just in case. The finish on the frame looked not that great in the photos but much better in person. The side shelves came in a separate box and were easy to assemble and I love their functionality and the choice you have whether to have them up or not. They look fine when down. We want to use this as a couch AND as a guest bed, so we decided to go with queen for our guests' comfort... but as a couch the queen mattress sticks WAY up high and is unattractive in my opinion. But it's not in a public space in our house so we're living with it. If you're waffling between queen and full, go with full is my advice. IF you're going to use it as a couch, that is.
