Impressive build quality & performance! Easy to lock / unlock by pinching the black centerpiece & turning. Notches into locked position with a nice positive, firm but smooth click. I'm confident it won't come undone. Securely locks both gates 100% with zero movement allowed so even small key rings won't slip out. The most impressive feature is hard to notice but take a look where the wire gates attach into the holes, the tips have been mushroomed so they won't come out! I wish all carabiners did that!Stainless Steel is MUCH appreciated!! These are truly amazing. My keys lay flatter now & the big hook is a nice addition too. No more turning the car off when I need to use another key. Quick & easy to unlock, detach, & lock again. I bought another set 2 days after testing them out, nice value for $10 and more convenient & secure than ordinary key rings!

Mini s-biners are pretty cool, right? In the past I've used them for all sorts of little things. I even tried using s-biners to hold keys (after all, Nite Ize sells a which uses s-biners), but they kept opening accidentally at inconvenient times. I decided to give up on the idea before I lost an important key.Apparently I'm not the only person to experience this, and now Nite Ize offers this *locking* s-biner key rack to addresses the problem. Instead of putting your faith in the standard spring-only clasping mechanism, this upgraded version features plastic locks that keep the s-biners (and the keys they hold!) secure. Twist the plastic lock clockwise until it clicks into place, and the wire gates are secured nice and tight. Twist the lock counter-clockwise, and the gates are secured only by springs just like regular old s-biners.Now, I think it might be a little silly to use a single key per s-biner as pictured above. You can fit half a dozen keys on a single side of an s-biner. Unless you want to remove individual keys from the chain periodically, you might do like I do: come up with a couple of "groups" of keys / doodads to place on s-biners, so you don't use quite as many of the little guys.Oh, hey! I'll also tell you a secret. Even if you don't fancy using the large "rack" carabiner that's part of this set to secure your keys to a belt loop or a strap, you should know that you get *six* of the lil locking mini s-biners included in this pack. These are identical to the s-biners that you can get in the , but the cost per s-biner is less when you buy them this way.So what are you waiting for? Get some locking s-biners. They're cool, and unlike regular s-biners they won't leave your keys behind.

I don’t use it for its stated purpose — keys. Instead, I detach the little mini carabiners. Individually, they’re durable, strong, and lightweight. Zero rust or breaking. Love ‘em.

These little things are great! I use them for quick security on my traveling bags. My wife and I just returned from London and Paris where you are warned by everyone to be on the lookout for thieves and pickpockets -and we did encounter two of the little miscreants! (Now that we're home I'm using them on keyrings to take sets of keys off and on.)As with all security, you're really trying to lessen the odds that you'll be the victim because it's impossible to have perfect security. These are not locks, it's true, but they are very well made and strong S-clips. Clipping zippers or pulls together slows down thieves enough to get them to look elsewhere for plunder. And the little black thing in the middle of each hook is a lever that keeps the clip ends from being opened easily; turn it and you can't open the click. Again not a lock, per se, but another step and thieves want fast access to your goodies so they can grab them and exit quickly. Futzing with these things is not something they really want to do. I stuck these on our luggage zippers, my wife's travel purse and even clipped one between my money belt and a belt loop. This package with the keyring is certainly the least expensive way to get these nifty clips (usually 5 bucks for just two clips!) and the keyring is just a nice extra -and it's a clip too!.
