Nitinol memory spring can be stretched at room temperature or below, and upon heating to 45C or above (113 F+) it spontaneously contracts to its original form, exerting force. This small spring can provide up to 250 grams of pulling force without risking permanent deformation to the spring (operation within 150 grams of tension is recommended for longevity).

We used this for a object lesson in our kids ministry. Worked great, although a little small, only about an inch long but when stretched out and then heated, the effect is great!

Als Federn taugen sie nicht, aber der Zweck ist ja ein anderer. Empfehlung: nicht zu straff ziehen, dann sind sie sofort im warmen Wasser wieder im Anfangszustand. Toll sieht es aus, wenn man sie (mit Pinzette) ÜBER eine Kerzenflamme hält und sie sich wieder zusammen kringelt so wie die Wärme ankommt.
