Your cart is empty.Synthetic corks will not become tainted, will not dry out, crumble, break or leak. A great way to provide a barrier to oxidization for wines that will Aged for several years. When you use synthetic corks you can store your wine upright if you prefer because this cork will not dry out, which would normal cause your wine to oxidize or go Bad. Bag of 100 corks. Note: we recommend using the Gilda single Lever corker with these corks because while some Portuguese or Italian floor corkers may work without problems, there is also a chance that the cork will be scored as it is inserted into the bottle, causing leaks.

I decided to use #9's to ensure a good bottle seal. I used these with a fell-off-the-back-of-the-boat Chinese hand corker I got here on amazon too. I put these in a bowl of sanitized water and pulled from there for cork each bottle. I used a random array of recycled bottles my friends had been collecting for me, and they fit every single one.I had zero issues corking #9's with a hand corker. The corks did dimple quite a bit, and the depth was somewhat inconsistent, but I chalk this up mostly to the cheap corker I was using.If you are scared of the effort - because many people claim a floor corker is needed for 9's - I suggest a gym membership, protein, and a glass of wine.

I don't normally do reviews. I have been buying these corks for a few years and have been extremely happy with them. When we received this bag, they had no design on them, just plain corks. While it does not affect the functionality, it does affect the looks. Disappointed...

Used these corks straight out of the bag to close over 100 bottles of our wine. They worked beautifully. The bottles were standard 750 ml bottles. We used a floor model corker with an iris-type compression. We found it best to compress the cork and then insert it in two distinct motions to give the cork enough time to fully adjust to the compressed state. Otherwise the cork would occasionally catch on its outer skin. I'll be storing most of the wine horizontally although according to the documentation that is not necessary. I do not expect any problems with leaking in that position. The seal looks good and the corks are fully inserted. I will definitely use the same Nomacorc for next year's batch.
