This is a great stand. I chose this stand over some of the other foldable, lightweight stands for fear that they would tip over too easily. This stand has a heavy base that will not tip over easily and it is better for surfaces that may not be perfectly level or smooth such as carpet or grass. I added a black hose washer to cushion the end where the flute touches the base. It provides some cushioning and it looks like it came on the stand because it's a perfect fit and color match. I feel much better since my daughter doesn't have to lay her flute down any more where it may fall or get damaged.

It is pretty nice stand. Heavy, so you are not going to take it with you when you play your clarinet at the park. Mine sticks slightly when I take clarinet off of stand. I give it a slight twist and that usually does the trick.

I should have listened to the other reviewers. The peg of this stand is too short and the flute wobbles around on it. I’ll be returning the stand.

Weight is right and it's very stable, but the vertical rod is too long/too wide on top and it gets stuck in the inside of the bell.

this is extremely durable. I bought a folding plastic one for my daughter to take to school or leave at home, but it broke. I bought this one for her to leave at home, since she really didn't take the plastic one with her to school, and I'm glad I did. It's perfect for her flute and its metal so it wont break easily.

Very sturdy and solidly built. The diecast bottom is very heavy. The peg is only good for Ann/A clarinets and too large for Eb clarinet.

The post isn't quite high enough to give my flute enough stability but I love the design and will be attaching foam to the end so it will be more secure.
