It does exactly what it’s meant to do. Super shredded. So easy and fast. No equipment needed. Quick slaw or salad. Cost a lot but makes your daily salad preparation much easier

So cool! Super sharp. I use it mainly for cabbage in fish tacos. Slices super thin. Fantastic texture for coleslaw or anything else. Cleans very easily. Must have tool in the kitchen

After visiting Japan, I’ve been looking far and wide to recreate the shredded cabbage I’ve eaten there. If you’ve never been, the cabbage is sliced in a way where it’s so light and thin fluffy, when you eat it, there is no resistance, there is no crunchy bite. It’s quite different from American Coleslaw, where it’s cut pretty thick and has a crunch. There’s definitely use cases for both.I was trying to recreate by watching videos of Chef cutting the cabbage thinly, but still either I can’t cut it thin enough or it’s literally impossible, the cabbage still ended up crunchy. I was planning to pull the trigger on the rotating cabbage kun shaver for $160 to get the cabbage that I wanted. After seeing this product and looking up reviews on Amazon Japan website, I was willing to give it a try.I’m super glad I did!! It is very easy to use, the blades are sharp, and it resulted in much much less waste than when I was chopping it. I’ll be buying it again when it goes on sale! Highly recommend anyone who is interested to give it a shot.Cut a bit of the side of cabbage then use the shredder. Afterwards rinse the cabbage in cold water, drain, then put Japanese sesame dressing and enjoy!

This shreds cabbage unbelievably fast. A few minutes and you'll have a mountain of shredded lettuce. I usually don't go for single purpose kitchen devices but this has gotten me to eat a lot more cabbage just because of how quickly you can shred it. It's great, and worth a spot in my utensil drawer.

I saw a Japanese influencer using this in one of her kitchen videos and was actually going to buy it on Amazon JP but was pleasantly surprised to find it on the US Amazon. I've purchased many cabbage peelers, and for the relatively low price, this one actually works! You can have a moist yet fluffy and delicious bowl of cabbage in no time. Just for ease of handling, I typically cut the cabbage head in half or sections first. You can shred a whole bunch in advance as well. I usually store it in a rubbermaid veggie container with a few paper towel pieces mixed in with the shreds to keep it from drying out too quickly. Oh, SUPER HUGE WARNING. This thing is dangerous if you are not careful. Not only do you need to be very mindful of the direction and force you're using while shredding, but also be careful handling the item when washing it. It is also imperative that you have the blades facing inside your utensil drawer (the deeper the better).

this is life changing!I eat a lot of shredded cabbage, the hadle is large, the blade is large, and it has double blades that work so well!it's so sturdy & easy to grip on.this is definitely well worth the money

Surprisingly works very well. I used this on various veggies for a kimchi noodles soup and they were sliced just right. I used this for beets and cabbage for saurkraut and it shaved off a good chunk of prep time. Very sharp, I had to keep the plastic cover as to not reach in the drawer and get accidentally sliced.
