NOOTA Basement Window Installation Instructions

Step-1: Tools & materials required
Safety glasses、Work gloves、Tape measure、6' level、Framer’s square、Chisel、Power driver and bits、Backer rod/Minimum expanding foam sealant、Caulk gun、Hammer、Utility knife 、Appropriate Fasteners ,etc.

Step-2: Clear the opening of any debris
Keep the window sills vertical and level, adjusting if necessary. Diagonal measurements must be within 1/8 inch. The width and height of the opening size should be 1/2 inch larger than the window size

Step-3: Check fit of window
Temporarily place the basement window in the frame tilting in from the bottom and check for fit. Then remove window.Adjust opening as needed.

Step-4: Add blind stop
Using a 3/4" quarter round or comparable piece of wood create a blind stop for the window .Make sure the inside of the blind stop is at least 4" from the inside of the wood frame.

Step-5: Drill installation holes as needed
If installing a basement sliding window that does not have pre-drilled installation holes, open sash. Drill the installation holes according to the fastening instructions from local building code.

Step-6: Apply sealant or styrofoam to opening
After fixing the sliding window with nails, fill the gaps with sealant or foam glue
