It’s pricey, but it’s good quality. The portafilter fit in my Breville Bambino Express with ease. It’s helped me step up my espresso extraction game since it helps me see when channeling is happening. There’s probably other portafilters that are most cost effective, but I trust Normcore to have the quality that I’m looking for.

I tried to use this machine on my bambino plus and It won’t fit , gets stuck and also won’t let any puck filter fit so I can’t literally use it, I did some research and turns out there’s a tolerance issue and hoping I can get a replacement

It works. It isn't junky or janky. The handle doesn't come unscrewed most of the time, except occasionally when cleaning it. Mostly looks and feels nice.The stock Breville portafilter handle is angled somewhat downward relative to the basket area, whereas this sticks out almost horizontal. This is actually beneficial if you're doing something like a "spro-over" so you can fit a bigger cup/glass under the basket.The handle itself is relatively long and thin. It's well-balanced, but the handle is too long and the curves in the handle are too far back, so it feels "off" to use. By comparison, the stock PF feels ergonomically perfect, you never even think about its shape when using it.The lugs that lock into the espresso machine are slightly too big. The Breville dosing ring doesn't fit, and my 3d-printed dosing ring only fits if I don't try to lock it in all the way. Requires a lot of force to fully seat in the machine. The stock PF lugs are more smoothly contoured, whereas these are more rectangular.Still probably better than most other options in terms of value for price. If you really want a bottomless portafilter for a 54mm Breville machine, this is a good choice.But do you need a bottomless PF at all? Probably not. Visual "shot diagnosis" is of questionable value. And if you make drinks with longer ratios that tend to spurt and look ugly anyway, there's not much point. If you only make single-cup drinks and want more room, just unscrew the spout from the stock portafilter. Its best features are that it can sit flat on a countertop for easier tamping, and it can fit a taller glass underneath for oddball drinks with high output volume, like the spro-over.

Worked great for about a month--but the basket appears warped as my leveler / tamp has difficulty going in now--and I get constant spraying, regardless of how well the puck is prepped. Enjoyed this premium product from a great brand...but man, the longevity of the spring and basket stink. Will give it a shot with an IMS basket this weekend after I bend the spring a bit--but shouldn't have to buy replacement baskets/springs for a portafilter used over maybe 20-25 sessions?Update: Nomcore reached out and made it right. The Portafilter itself is solid. I love using it daily- my main issue was with the basket which is an interchangeable part…still loving the quality of the Portafilter

This portafilter is really high quality! It has a nice weight to it that you can feel as soon as you get it out of the box. I use it with a Breville Bambino, and It fits perfectly. I love how you can look at the espresso getting out of the filter basket. I'm still learning but this tool feels like a must have! I recommend this product without hesitation. Well worth the cost.

El portafiltro es una pieza más pesado que el estándar que viene con la cafetera The Bambino Plus. Tiene un diseño muy elegante. Sólido. La calidad de los materiales es notoria. Ajusta perfectamente en el grupo de la cafetera. El paquete incluye un filtro (de alto flujo) de paredes rectas, lo que le da más profundidad y capacidad que el estándar. Es un espectáculo visual en cada preparación del café espresso. Dominar este tipo de portafiltro sin fondo, te permitirá ser un gran barista. Sin duda, es la herramienta favorita en mi rincón del café de mi casa. Muy súper recomendable. No se arrepentirán.
