This is great for grapefruit! We still use knife to cut around fruit. Then the sections we use with this tool. It works for us!

This really works well. It's very sturdy and very sharp and works as advertised. The only problem I see with it is one side has two cutters to slice the sides or the membrane but if your eyesight is a bit poor, it's going to be hard to do this. Other than that, I highly recommend this tool for people who eat grapefruit!!

Living in Florida, I had a grapefruit knife in my house when growing up. I realized I wanted one, last year and this knife ups the game by not only having the curved side to cut out the fruit from the white pith, but also the double-knife to cut out the thin membranes between wedges. Grapefruit is artfully prepared so when you go to eat it, it's pure effortless fruity bliss. Came to the page to recommend it to a friend, and realized this product is worth my time to review. Highly recommend!

The knife part works ok, but the double blade separator is kind of a gimmick that is hard to clean and doesn't really do much. This item is a bit overpriced for what it is. I should have just gone to Walmart and bought one there.

I haven't eaten a grapefruit in years and I live in FL! I recently, for reasons unknown, bought a sack of them. OK, now what? I Googled how to eat a grapefruit and quickly learned that I needed a serrated curved grapefruit knife. Honestly, I purchased this one because it looked cool. I have eaten 4 grapefruits since purchase. The packaging comes with instructions, but if you have never done this before, I recommend quick research online because the instructions on the package aren't 100% completely intuitive. The handle is plastic but the knives are metallic. The blades are sturdy...steak knife sturdy. I don't mind eating the pith section lines, so I didn't use the section dual blade remover, but I tried it and it seems to work fine. The curved blade to remove the fruit from the peel is sharp enough to "Go through the 'meat' almost like butter". But it would require a lot of force or misuse to cut yourself. That is a huge plus. The double blade side knives are a little sharper but still would take some force to cut a finger. Since I have only used it 8 times (4 grapefruit cut in half), I have no idea about durability. I recommend this product based on the safetiness, aestetics and value.

This has changed my entire relationship with grapefruits. I love them but they are always such a pain to prepare. This knife is fantastic. It took a time or two to get used to it, but it does the job like no other. Trickier on smaller grapefruits, but still way better than a traditional grapefruit knife.
