I expected thicker plastic, something a little sturdier. But this jug has absolutely performed for me daily, and the thinner plastic has held up to some abuse. The high transparency is a huge plus for me as well.I am a professional mechanic in a fast paced shop, and most of my work is coolant related. I use this jug to hold my 50/50 coolant-water mix, and feed my coolant vacuum device from this jug.The wide mouth is great, and the handle is better than the ones on the 12 other jugs that my coworkers have.

I love products that actually work and are made in the USA! This water jug is heavy duty, and extremely functional for my needs. I use it for draining water from my dehumidifier located in my house, as my house sits on a concrete slab which absorbs humidity through the floor necessitating an in-house dehumidifier. I was emptying buckets from the dehumidifier every 6-8 hours in the summer months. My solution was to use the drain cock on the dehumifier with an attached short length of garden hose which empties into this 5 gallon container. The holes in the cap and vent must be drilled out, but they are clearly indented and recessed for that purpose. Simple to do with a larger drill bit or reamer. I can let the container fill for days and then remove the hose and empty it. The container is very strong and heavy duty - I love it! If using for this or a like purpose, don't forget to remove the vent cap and drill a small hole in the center of the vent. I used a 1/8" drill bit. That's what i use this container for, but I'm sure there are many other uses which one can come up with.

Good day - I bought this to store water in for my grow tent - I have it located in my basement so I use it to keep water stored near the tent (instead of walking to the sink each time I need water).Holds 5 gallons which does last me about 2 weeks (with refilling my humidifier and mixing water to feed plants).I would recommend this item to anyone, as it’s sturdy , had a nice handle to carry it around and a dual opening system- one bigger opening to pour water from and another smaller cap to provide ventilation to the pour (to avoid the bubbling when pouring).I love this thing

This 5 Gallon Jug was extremely well built. Overall it’s melded nicely and doesn’t have any leaks. Does what it’s supposed to do. The only drawback I had was that when I first got it, the vent hole was not pre-drilled so I had to manually make that myself. Not everyone would want to do this to avoid getting plastic particulates in their jug, but alas for me this wasn’t the end of the world. Definitely something to be aware of though.Overall still a well built water-jug!

Use it for hauling extra water in my camper van. Lid seals tight, and the plastic is semi-transparent, so I can see how much water I've actually got. Great accessory for my van.

I bought a nice humidifier that works well except it has a really small catch container. (less than half a gallon) so I had to empty it 3 times each day. So I bought this container, drilled out the hold on the lid and the humidifier drain hose fits perfectly. Now I can go 2 to 3 days between emptying it. I like that you can easily see the water level through this container.
