This smaller size 11 lasts better for me than the 10. It is just shorter enough, that it doesn't bend with difficult stitches through multiple layers at seam allowances. Eventually, all needles break, so always have an extra pack. As an avid hand-quilter, I've gone through packs of size 10, but a have not yet broken nor bent the 11 since switching. Really nice to quilt with a straight needle!As an aside, vendors need to send these in the bigger mailers, so they don't disappear in the mail. I've recently had multiple small notions orders get lost in the mail never get delivered, and Amazon processed the non-delivered package of needles as a "return," meaning I'll probably loose my refund. Grrrr...

I love these needles. I use them to hand sew binding to my quilts. Perfect length and slides thru fabric effortlessly. I use a needle threader to thread the needles because I use a thicker hand quilting thread to bind.

I have used this brand of needles for hand quilting, and hand sewing for years. I have tried other brands, but always come back to these.
