This press has almost no slop and inserts at a 90 degree angle consistently. The holder for the iron is more than adequate and keeps the iron from moving while pressing the inserts. It would be better if it had a bottom travel stop that was easier to set that limits the bottom of the travel. The knurled screw does the job, but it takes some fiddling to get it exactly where you want it to be. Not a reason to detract from five stars, just a possible improvement. Overall, I am very pleased with the unit and feel it was worth what I paid for it.

An excellent insert press. Stable solid performance. I did a few mods to utilize the entire length of the linear rail that is on the machine by replacing the 260mm upright with a 300mm upright and designed and 3D printed a cable cover to keep the cable out of the way, a cap to hold the different size tips handy and to provide a handy finger hole, a riser for the heat iron to maximize the useful depth of the tools linear rail and a more comfortable handle. This is a very nice tool and always sets the insert at 90 degrees, plus makes every project go faster and smoother. Assuming of course you use inserts, some do, some don't!

I purchased this insert tool because of the linear rail. It doesn't require any wheel adjusting and is accurate. It's an all metal design with the exception of the pipe clamp that holds the heat iron to the arm. It would cost me about the same to source and make the parts. I did print out a few 15mm spacers for the adjustable stop and spring anchor. The adjustable stop didn't line up well for a positive stop with the sliding arm. The base offers slots for attaching accessories which I plan on utilizing for some sort of tilting table for odd angle part positioning when needed.

The vertical heat press machine has exceeded all my expectations! Its solid all-metal frame and linear guide rail design provide smooth, precise pressing for flawless results. The 60W soldering iron with rapid heating (180°C-500°C) saves valuable time during projects. Adjustable clamps make it easy to accommodate different soldering stations, and the included M2-M8 insert tips allow for diverse applications. I’ve even added a few 3D-printed mods, making this already superior design even more user-friendly. Highly recommend!

I was going to build one of these myself and had all the parts but I’m glad I ended up buying this. It was a great price and I didn’t have to go through all the hassle. I’ve used it over and over and have absolutely no complaints.

I picked this up to play with using heat-set inserts more accurately than my usual soldering iron insertion, and I've bee pleasantly surprised. It comes in pieces and requires a fairly simple assembly - if you're the kind of person that's building 3d prints to the extent that you want to use inserts, you will have no trouble at all putting it together.Other than that, it's a really simple little assembly - a thermostatic controlled soldering iron with a heat-set insert tip, on a short piece of vertical rail. It works just like doing it by hand, except at a much higher level of accuracy, since your insertion will always be a nice, clean 90-degree motion.

it is way easier than soldering iron - it ensure the perpendicular insertion into print surface with accuracy guarenteed!
