I got this for testing the temperature and humidity in my coolerdor (cooler made into humidor). It is reading the humidity level that I expect and the temperature seems accurate.

I bought this thermometer and hygrometer to use in my small personal greenhouse and as a building inspector to check out HVAC systems. For the $13 price point, it's handy to get an idea if there might be an issue to call in a pro with better equipment.

This thing is almost useless. It only stays on for 5 minutes at a time which is far loo short for a hygrometer to re-adjust to new environments and reach a steady-state accurate readout.In addition, the unit I received is reading humidity roughly 3%-4% higher than actual compared to multiple more expensive higher quality calibrated hygrometers. The manual actually says that a +/- tolerance of 5% is acceptable for humidity! What a joke! Up to a 5% error for relative humidity for a mobile scientific tool is a total joke.I do not recommend these. Find a better product.

I use this for various measurements in the hvac trade. It seems pretty accurate when compared to another similar device that I have. It reads relatively fast, but when going in from a hot work truck, it can take longer to acclimate to the environment that you want to test. Would I say that every reading is always 100% accurate....no but I have expensive devices that sometimes don't seem to register correctly either. It's easy to use.

The NF-563 is a quality handheld instrument that quickly measures both temperature and humidity.It powered by 3-AAA included batterys and with all the testing I have done, looks like it will have a long battery life. This product also implements correctly MIN and MAX , has both C' and F', hold and does include an auto power down to save the battery life. The FSTN display is well backlit, and you can easily read it outside at wide angles. ( see pixs )Testing this unit against my high precision temperature meter and recently calibrated humidity meter, I was really surprised that both readings were right on. There is no calibration feature that many times is available on more expensive meters. The product description talks about dew point and maintaining data, those functions are not on this product, however you can manually calculate dew point from temperature and humidity!The only issue I found, is that the bottom of the meter is not really flat, so be careful setting it vertically since it's not really stable and will fall. AND yes that happened, and the meter survived the 5-foot drop test to the hard floor without any damage :)Great product with a nice price performance!

Indoor humidity has been within a couple of points of what my thermostat shows and has been within .5 of a degree (F.) so I think this thing is working pretty well. I will probably be using this inside new builds or remodels to make sure we are keeping it conditioned to the proper levels for flooring installs.
