We have an older chime doorbell that plays different melodies, and replaced our old plastic doorbell button with a new brass button that's much more attractive- but when we hooked up the wires, the melody "drowned out" and couldn't play the entire chime. After some research online, we discovered the new button needed a diode on the circuit to store and release power after the button was released (the press and release of the doorbell button doesn't allow continuous power flow to play the longer melody). This diode works perfect. For the type of doorbell we have, there are two nodes on the back of the doorbell button, to which you screw in the wires from the exterior wall for the doorbell. To add in the diode, it extends between the two nodes and gets screwed in the nodes with the wires. Keep in mind, diodes only flow one way so you may have to flip it the other direction if it doesn't work the first time. Hope this helps someone else that may be stumbling through the same issue!

Door dome light would not work properly in 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe. YouTube showed how, I ordered these little guys, a little soldering later...everything works great! 7 bucks for 20 of them. Now I can charge $50 per fix, to get rid of the other 19!

Worked as expected. Nice long leads and weren't cheap flimsy leads. Held up the required shaping to attach to a doorbell button. Got a bunch more in the shipment should I ever need to replace so added plus.
