Striving to meet the needs of ALL my students

I wanted our students to feel as special as we as teachers know they are. So for their end-of-middle school dance, I made an invitation for each student.Using “wax†hot glue sticks, the envelope seals turned out fantastic. There is a learning curve for working with the wax and the stamp, so give yourself time to practice. It works best with a gun that isn’t a “high heat†one. Let the wax cool slightly, press in the stamp and allow to cool to touch. Then holding the wax in place, gently remove the stamp by pushing handle to the side. Continue motion going by around the entire seal until the stamp is released.I chose to add the gold onto the seal. It isn’t necessary, just a personal choice. The wax is easy to clean up once it has cooled.I think the mistakes and extras could be remelted to use again, but it was an afterthought and I had used a paper plate to rest the glue gun. When the wax had cooled and I pulled it from the plate, it pulled the paper with it so I wasn’t able to reuse it.This was a fun project and was a success in a wonderful looking final product!Have fun and enjoy!

Very easy to use, doesn’t make a mess everywhere and looks AMAZING! I used these for my wedding invitations, and the feedback I’ve gotten from guests is amazing! They make our envelopes look so fancy and formal for only a small cost. It makes me want to use these for all my correspondence! One note - be aware that these are thicker sticks, and may not fit with a glue gun with a smaller “standard†opening. I got a bigger glue gun for them to fit into, and it worked perfectly with the larger opening!

We used these to seal ~80 envelopes. One pull of the hot glue gun (set to low) was the perfect amount for our seal. We purchased gold and red and I alternated the sticks as I used them. We really liked how they looked blended, as well as when they were separate. Each stick was able to do about 15 envelopes, so we used a lot less then expected. Love the results and received a lot of compliments on them. Very classy.

I was able to throw them in my glue gun and make little wax seals. It cools fast so it took me a couple of tries but was able to capture the intricate details of my stamp.

We were originally using wax from Hobby Lobby that had the wick that you had to burn to melt the wax and drip it onto the envelope. It was such a pain and occasionally the wax that dripped would be on fire. While sealing our baby son’s birth announcement cards, we got so fed up. I ended up looking on Amazon and found these wax sticks and ordered them, along with a hot/cool glue gun. IT IS SO EASY TO USE!!!!!! There’s pretty much no mess involved with this method. You put the sticks in, plug in the gun, wait for it to heat up (on the cool setting), squeeze it onto the envelope, and press the wax seal stamp. I put down a napkin or piece of paper under the cool glue gun, just in case. But it’s not even needed. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS WAX. So far I have stamped probably 130 envelopes, and I still have plenty of wax left. I will he buying more then we get low.

I have been sealing letters with wax for years, and just found out that this product exists. This is 400x easier than melting it in a crucible and pouring it onto the envelope. The only disadvantage I can think of it if you want to swap colors before the stick is done... tough luck. But that is not a big deal to me.Also, this specific wax is nice and high quality, has a low melting point, and nice, vibrant colors. All around a wonderful product.
