It's pretty loud. Think like an electric can opener running all the time. Until the bin gets full, then it shuts off. Or when it runs out of water. It makes great ice, tho. It's small, so doesn't take up lots of counter. Runs several days on a full tank of water. There are two in this house. I use ice in a big insulated cup. Probably two full 20oz. cups every day, and my son probably about the same, so 80oz. per day and there always seems to be a full bin. This ice maker does not have an insulated lid, just a clear plastic lid, so as the ice melts it drains back into the tank and is refrozen. Had this one for several months, thru the heat of summer, and it kept up nicely. Real hard water here, so I fill it with either bottle or water from the fridge door, which is filtered, and haven't had to clean it yet except for after unboxing.

This is the best ice maker hands down it has the best ice and is so easy to set up and clean I loved it so much I ordered more for others during the holidays!

This makes tons of ice quickly. It makes clear ice just like I like it; however, it is LOUD. I thought someone was trying to get into my house only to discover it was the icemaker making ice. I turn off the power at night and turn it back on in the morning to prevent it from being so noisy.

Nice countertop ice maker. FIRST on unpacking let it sit for a few hours to allow the refrigerant to settle from shipping. Only issue I encountered is that the "small cube setting" produces very small cubes and the "large cube" setting produces what I'd normally call small to medium cubes but that's the perfect size for me. Very easy to sue, there is storage on the outside for the ice scoop and a drainage plug for cleaning and maintenance. Can't really complain at this price.

I have downgraded my review from 3 stars to 1 star. The ice maker lasted for two months and wasn't even used daily. We emptied, cleaned and filled new each day it was used and never ran the ice maker for more than four hours at a time. It eventually would only make a few nuggets before the component that rotates and produces the ice quit rotating and the fan would just blow. Very disappointing product.
