The 2 things that I like most about this Nulaxy Bluetooth FM Transmitter are how well it interfaces with Bluetooth and how easy it is to set up.By interfacing well, I mean that if I've left my car to run an errand, as soon as I'm back and close enough to my car, the unit detects my phone and reconnects flawlessly with the radio. I use an Android audio app called Pulsar, and it just works perfectly with the Nulaxy. (For obvious reasons, I can't vouch for your app or your phone's performance with the transmitter.) Back and forward controls -- in fact ALL the controls -- work as advertised.I don't expect great sound quality in a car -- after all there's all that wind and road noise. But this device did not degrade the sound of my car radio -- certainly not enough to notice. I have zero complaints about sound quality.Set up was exceptionally easy, and the unit retains my settings, so that's not a problem.I remember similar units I have purchased in the past -- years ago -- and the technology has improved dramatically. Once you're set up, you can pretty much use this little transmitter on autopilot. One tip I got from another user's feedback, is to do an internet search for "Empty FM channels in [my zipcode]," to assist in in selected a frequency in your area. A bit of testing may be necessary after you've got a few frequency candidates. Your best bets will be at either extreme end of the spectrum.I settled on a station at the upper end of the dial. Even though that frequency is already occupied, the Nulaxy had no problem overpowering it.The unit has a voice prompt that lets you know it is connecting and then that it is connected every time you start a new session. All in all, an inexpensive and satisfying alternative to putting a new radio in my old (2000) car.Cons: The adjustable neck may be either too short or too long to conveniently place the unit so it doesn't block access to interior accessories that you don't want blocked. Also, the goose neck is considerably stiffer and more difficult to adjust than I expected. Neither of these factors were deal breakers for me, but your mileage may vary.I hope this little Nulaxy doesn't break, but if it did, I'd get another one in a heartbeat.

Edit: I was offered a replacement and it does not experience the interference issue described below. I've updated this review from 1 to 5 stars due to good customer service, and on the hopes that the unit I initially received was a rare defect. Also: the USB charging option has been great--I can choose a 2.4 amp "slow" charge (which is better for battery health) with the blue port, or a 3 amp "quick" charge (if I'm in a rush) with the red port. I didn't think I'd appreciate this as much as I do.Original title: Worked great--for 4 monthsThis is a very useful product, and I was very impressed--for the first 4 months. I'm giving this one star because the device now interferes with other stations, causing me to need to unplug it--thereby defeating its convenience advantage over other (wired) solutions. It interferes on distant/random stations, so it could be a defective unit, but unfortunately I waited to report the issue (until I knew for sure it was the unit and not my radio), and now, of course, I'm just days out of the product support window (6 months, it seems), so Amazon only offers me the option to leave a product review (I can't even contact the seller or the manufacturer).Pros:When it works, it's very convenient--no fussing with wires.Good audio qualityGood range (no need to fuss with where you place it)The 3 amp port charges my Moto x4 with "Turbocharge"--a very useful feature saving space from more chargers.Cons:After initial pairing, it refused to autoconnect bluetooth when only media is set to share (and phone calls disabled). This could be a phone issue, or, if not, could perhaps be addressed with a firmware update. The volume is quite low, though, to be fair, this seems to be the standard nowadays. Even at max volume, it is difficult to listen to classical music which has large dynamic ranges. (CDs are still better for this.)Did not evaluate: USB or SD (TF) file playback--from what I read, however, it'd be a bit annoying since it lacks folder playback. (This seems like another thing that could be improved with a firmware update.)I was planning to buy a second or third of these, but will hold off to see if the manufacturer supports the one I already have. I really enjoyed this while it worked properly.

I bought this for playing mp3 files located on a TF SD Card. So far I am extremely happy with the performance of this unit. Selecting the FM channel was simple and so far I am experiencing a very clean signal (i.e. no noise/interference).I AM NOT having any issues at all with the the volume being low as was mentioned by some reviewers. The only negative thing I can say is that the flex neck for the control head cannot be rotated. In my car, the 12V outlet is horizontal, not vertical. This forces the flex neck downward resulting in the control head being very low in the console. If I was able to rotate the control head (on the flex neck) 180 degrees, it would sort of stick up making it much easier to access. I tried (carefully) twisting the unit to accomplish the desired orientation, but it would not stay rotated - it sort of springs back into the original position. Making it rotatable would be a HUGE improvement.
