Did a pink and blue christmas theme for two little granddaughters, with a pink and blue tree and pink and blue nutcracker. Big hit!

Pros- Charming chef design adds a festive touch to holiday decor.- 15-inch height makes it a noticeable yet versatile decoration.- Solid wood construction ensures durability and stability.- Hand-painted details enhance visual appeal and craftsmanship.- Ideal for tabletop, bookshelf, or mantle display.Cons- Decorative only; does not function as an actual nutcracker.- Paint may chip or fade with long-term use.- Lightweight base is prone to tipping over.- Limited use outside of holiday seasonal decor.

When my daughter was little she loved nutcrackers and for the past 13 years our collection has grown exponentially. This started as a 'one a year' thing, but it's hard to say 'no', ignore a good price or look past a unique piece. It didn't take long before our small family of nutcrackers turned into a village and then an army.So...why did I want him?Well, first the price is pretty reasonable for a 15" wood piece. But what really drew me in were his colors. We already have the pinks, blues and cute pastel color soldiers and while this guy does have those non-traditional pastel colors, it was the orange color that I couldn't pass up. Why orange? Well, first it is unique and we don't have one, nor have I ever seen an orange nutcracker before. But the REAL reason is because we bleed orange here! My Alma Mater is Syracuse University and I am an Orange woman through and through. It only made sense to add him to the family. He arrived super quick, blanketed and well protected in a bubble wrap bag and packed in a tall cardboard box (which is nice for storage). There was no damage upon arrival. He isn't quite a full 15", rather 14" and some change. This isn't an overly heavy piece, rather it is somewhat light, but it does stand straight and sturdy. The colors are very pretty and the pastels all work well together. The painting is well done and there are no areas that are void of paint or chipped and I didn't see any areas where the paint job was messy. This isn't one of the nutcrackers that is insanely busy, with lots of little details. He has no glitter, no stones and he is on the plain side- but the plain side that is well done and looks very clean and classy. One thing I immediately thought though is how great this would be IF you wanted to jazz it up yourself. Yes, it is perfect as is, but giving him some bling and glitter could be a really fun project.I am VERY happy I found him and added him to our collection. The fam likes him too.Seeing he is orange and I got him a few weeks before Halloween, I didn't even bother storing him away. He is currently chilling with the Halloween decorations and the skeleton and pumpkin nutcrackers! You really con't go wrong for this price, so don't let these little cuties get away!
