So quiet, unlike our last one. Looks really nice, love the auto shutoff for the light. Great deal, came a wk sooner than we expected.

Lots of research before purchase. So many units, options, sizes! A bit OCD for a novice wine connoisseur. In short, easy setup out of the box, quick no issue start up, very quiet. Minor damage to packaging but product well protected. Hinge screw cover and adjusting leg loose but easily found. Trying to decide between single or dual zone, compressor or thermoelectric power. Liked flexibility of dual zone but maybe overkill for my collection and anticipated length of storage. Did like the full range temperature adjustment for both zones for more flexibility to which zones you use for your varieties. Many other units temperature adjustment ranges dictated which zone to keep wines at a warmer setting. And sometimes seemingly conversely, cold on top, warm on the bottom. Went with compressor rather than thermoelectric. Questionable reviews on thermoelectric regarding temperature control, energy efficiency, and durability. But alleged shortcomings with compressor type is noise and vibration. Yep, guessing there is more noise compared to thermoelectric but subtle and not at all offensive to me! Probably same for vibration but again very minor to me! If any vibration is considered not good for proper long term aging of deep reds than this isn't the best. But again maybe not a concern for my use. Didn't see any mention of light protection in product description but glass door is lightly tinted or smoked making it appear dark in cabinet. Can't say if this is sufficient for so call UV light protection.Just saying, in my opinion, if you are like me and just looking for a good safe storage option with flexibility, quiet well controlled operation, smaller unit, and not great concern for long term storage then can't beat this unit for great value!

I purchased my NutriChef Model# PKCWCDS188, Black 18-Bottle Dual Zone Wine Cooler w/Digital Control less than a year ago, and it is not surprisingly no longer sold on the company’s website. After I purchased it through the company’s Amazon Store less than 1 year ago (on Oct. 20, 2022), it has just stopped Cooling in both zones this past week.I have tried adjusting the temperature down in the Upper Zone (where we store our White wines) several times, but the temperature remains in the mid-50's and never goes down again to the mid-40's where it was set originally when we first purchased it. We followed all directions in the Owner's Manual when we first received it, allowing it to settle for the initial period recommended before plugging it in, and the unit has never been moved from the original place where we installed it (free-standing next to a kitchen cabinet).I now see that there have been a number of complaints about this cooler (and some other of their models) for THE SAME EXACT ISSUE, and when I contacted the company for a replacement within the 1 year warrantee period, I was told by Customer Support Rep. Caleb Breis that I must send the almost 61 pound unit BACK TO THE COMPANY AT MY OWN EXPENSE for repair- yet other owners defective units reviewed on this site were REPLACED AT NO COST by the NutriChef company, with NO REQUIREMENT TO SEND IN or RETURN THE OLD, DEFECTIVE UNIT- especially considering that my unit is still under warranty. For me to return my broken, defective unit to the company would require SIGNIFICANT cost plus having to pay for a shipping container, since the box it came in was long ago disposed of!I expected to receive the same treatment by this company as has been provided to other customers who have also purchased such an expensive wine cooler on their Amazon Store and through other retailers, and told them that if they were not willing to replace my under-warranty cooler, without me having to incur the significant cost and inconvenience of shipping the unit back to them because of their unacceptable repair/replacement policy, that it would definately be the last time I conduct any future business with their company. I also indicated that I will make sure to tell all of my friends and business associates to also never do business with your company as well, while leaving a very negative review of the product as well as their non-existent warrantee/customer service policies on Amazon.com, as my unit DID NOT EVEN CONTINUE TO OPERATE PROPERLY EVEN WITHIN THE ONE YEAR WARRANTY.Caleb’s response to my concerns and extreme dissatisfaction with their warranty repair/replacement policies?: “ We regret to inform you that our shipping cost coverage only extends to items weighing 15 lbs or less. After verifying the weight of your unit, we have determined that it surpasses the weight limit. Unfortunately, we cannot provide coverage for shipping fees on units that exceed the 15 lb limit.”, and, “I apologize for the inconvenience and I understand your frustration. However, we have a policy and rules to adhere to. If you have any further concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us. Item arrived and it was missing a part. I contacted the manufacturer to have it mailed to me but they wanted to charge me $30 for shipping. Not worth it!

The doors do not align perfectly, and it seems to cycle the compressor / fan often but the features are exactly what I wanted, and the customer service group are extremely responsive.

I purchased this wine fridge after quite a bit of research for about C$850. The handles were not very easy to install and very easy to strip the thread of the fasteners. The fridge reached the desired temperatures for the red and white wine sections fairly quickly and was very good at maintaining the temperatures. The temperature display is easy to read though it would be really nice if you could dim them as they are quite bright. Any bottles that are not very standard size can be a challenge to fit.The fridge started getting noisier and noisier over a few months and was running almost constantly. A fairly loud whirring noise, plus a buzzer sometimes and loud clicks. I investigated and discovered that it was a noisy fan inside and that a connection to the compressor was leaking a small amount of refrigerant - probably since it was new. I had a service technician come to look at the fridge and he replaced the fan which took care of most of the noise, but the compressor leak was far too expensive to be worth repairing.I would not buy this brand again.
