  • HOW DOES THE O RING MEASURING TOOL WORK? Easy. Determine the thickness by inserting the o ring into the bottom slots to find the best slot size. Using your finger as your guide, take the o ring out of the slot and place your finger on the correct slot size while also placing the o ring on the cone. As you are pulling the o ring downward, guide the finger you placed on the correct-sized slot upwards and meet both the o ring and your finger at the correct measurement when the inside diameter of the o ring can no longer go past another gauge.

Yes, it does work. I tried it with several known O-rings and it sized them correctly. HOWEVER, the price for this piece of plastic is excessively high, it is not finished very well (mould markings left on), absolutely no attempt to make the size numbers more readable, and No Instructions. For the price we are paying for this big piece of plastic, would it be that difficult to include some basic instructions?
