Stabilizer bar provides an easier pull. Dual density junior adjustable bindings fit kids' size 2 - men's size 7. For skiers up to 140 lbs. Length: 54 inch.

Ordered these for my kids and their cousins. They are all between 7 and 1 years old (boys and girls) and range in weight from ~ 50 to 110 lbs. Every one of them got up on these waterskiing over the weekend. Two of them were able to get up and then master deep water starts by themselves with these. So in terms of performance and ability to help new skiers learn these are as good as they get. Bindings fit the wide range of foot sizes and the skis worked great of this age / weight range. Now other reviewers have commented that the strap comes free and eventually ends up in the bottom of the lake. I have absolutely no doubt this is going to happen as every time a kid got done I would have to tighten both screws to hold this in place. My hope is that I can keep this long enough to teach them all and then it's gone.I would absolutely recommend these and would buy them again!

These are great skis for the new skier. We have had three first time skiers get up with them in the past two weeks. All under age 9.We had been teaching the kids on regular skis for years but the bindings have always been too big.

Perfect for first time skiers then with the removable bar taken off takes skier to the next step.

Our 6-year-old went to a ski clinic where they were using this combo set to teach kids how to get up on a slalom ski for the first time. Found it on Amazon for a great price and had it a few days later. It’s easier to get up on than the skinnier slalom skis of old. It’s well shaped and sized for kids just learning to water ski. Definitely isn’t going to perform like a high end ski meant for the slalom course, and that’s a good thing at this stage. This is a stable set of skis meant for beginners. I like the gender-neutral colors that willl work for picky little boys and girls. They are a bit heavy for the little guys, but that’s to be expected from skis this wide. I think the extra width adds stability, which is very helpful for these little guys.

i have been teaching friends and family to ski for DECADES and these are the best thing I have come across. Makes it a piece of cake. Truly. Great skiis. You need to tighten the bar overtime before you go again. I ordered a replacement ahead of time from Barts water sports just in case. You can't go wrong.

Bought these and the Regular Vortex skis. Both skis come with O'Briens X-7 bindings. Everyone struggles trying to tighten the bindings. The push mechanism just doesn't work properly on either pair of skis. Everyone struggles trying to tighten them and you never feel like you have a good fit.

Bought these for the kids and because I can't use them, all I can say is that my 9 & 11 year old kids (boy/girl respectively) learned two weeks ago on old wooden Disney Popsicle stick trainers with tiny rudders and no contouring on the bottom and the next week shot right out of the water on these and cruised steadily around the lake. The bottom is contoured differently than skis I used years ago but the kids looked rock-solid behind the boat and, in fact, my daughter popped right out of the water on a deep start after a crash on her first try--made us proud!

Skiis work very well for teaching a new person to ski. Pay attention to weight limit, it is difficult to get up if over weight limit.

Skis fit the kids well, and the cross-bar option helped our youngest feel confident in getting out of the water.
