I bought this when I thought I lost my other one (then I found the other one). I kept it though because this gives a definition of the code which the other one did not. I didn't read the instructions and was able to use it so it's pretty easy to figure out. We have an older car that throws a code if you let it idle too long so I can easily check the code and clear it. I also like having a basic idea of the check engine light issue if we need to bring to get it fixed.

I already had the code read at advance auto but I wanted to double check it and erase the code since I fixed the problem and after reading the bad reviews I was skeptical but to my surprise it worked great it erased the code and did exactly what it says it does.

I have a 2001 Buick LeSabre & I had took it to a mechanic for a check engine light & it took them a week to even find what it was, apparently they didn’t have the right scanner but I got on Amazon, got this scanner, plugged it in, read the code & boom done. It worked perfectly, I would recommend it to anyone!

You get what you pay for reads codes and erases codes not bad for the price but I’ve own it for less than 3 months and screen started getting distorted and has a fine crack on it even though I keep it in the center console by itself

What started as a cheap tool to diagnose my daughter's check engine light turned out to be a cool little tool that everyone uses. I didn't expect much for about $20 but it's been used a lot and is spot on accurate. It's super easy to use and even deletes the codes, if needed. I'd order another one fast if this one fails in the future. Great buy.
