These were plastic, but I thought they were nice. They were super easy to assemble and be careful if using a mallet or small hammer to drive the spiked ends into the ground. They were well worth the money and the size is perfect, not too tall and not too short. They are plastic, so they will not rust, and what I used them for was to hang fake bird cages inside the trellis, which looks pretty sweet. They are built pretty good and will most likely hold through an Ohio winter.

I found this item to be very well designed, simple to assemble and certainly feels sturdy. I cannot understand one review saying that it broke when sticking into the ground unless the soil was too dry and compacted. I'd suggest that if that's the case to first use a small shovel to loosen up the ground soil first and digging down about 8 to 10 inches. If plants are already there and digging might harm plants, then water thoroughly first to make poles easier to penetrate ground. I am very pleased so far and cannot wait to see the morning glory vines climb. I appreciate the inclusion of the assortment of the vinyl or plastic decorative butterfly's too. I've noticed that they've also attracted real ones to visit. I'm not sure if that's actually why, but regardless they look nice. ~BTW - Some might find that assembling the plastic rings that the posts pass through to be the most challenging of the assembly. Just take a little extra time with them and make sure you don't attempt to connect together at an angle as it doesn't want to go together that way. Keep the ring parts level, then firmly press together with your thumb and forefinger (first or index finger) and you'll appreciate the sturdiness of the connection. In summary, great product for the price.

I like the size, larger than I expected, not hard to put together and looks nice for the plant I am using it for. I hope it has longevity in the garden.

These assemble well though you really have to push them together, but that's a good thing because you know they aren't cheap and are going to stay together well. They fit perfectly in the pot my grape vines are in and support them as needed. The height is good, but I wish they weighed a little more in order to stay in place a little better.

These are mostly plastic not metal. That’s my biggest complaint. The sturdiness is not great but it’s well enough for beginners or lighter duty growing. I wouldn’t recommend if your using it for growing your own food or homesteading or anything like that. These are for more decorative uses and work great in that regards. The accessories that came with it weren’t quality but won’t be wasted either and will be put to use. The height was a really good size and my box didn’t come with instructions but it was easy enough to figure out the assembly. Overall use them for looks and you’ll be happy but don’t depend on great quality.

This is an ingenious design for assembly, it was easy. I recommend you use pliers to snap the rings together, and tap the rods into place as you go for the most sturdy assembly. It's a combo of metal rods and plastic rings that are pretty sturdy. I think these will hold in the wind in the places in my garden where I can tap them deeply into the ground. For some of my planter pots where I can't stick them in very deeply, I might secure with ties or rocks for windy days. Looks great, expect it to last a long time. Amazing price, well worth it. I got 4 and they transformed my little garden area.

I really like these, and how sturdy they are. I was expecting then to be wire or something, but they are metal coated metal tubing. I took little time to assemble, and you can decide how tall you want one to be. You can combine the two into one tall one or use the two separate. I will be for sure be ordering another set for my potted plant vines.
