The pads are washable. Mainly use the blue side of the pad for the wooden floors. It picks up a lot of dirt and sticks to the pad. Then I use the vacuum to clean the pad. Once it gets dirty, just put in the wash. They send you 2 pads to change out. Use it all the time.

It cleans up messes nicely and my floors look great. I appreciate the extra cleaning head that was included. And the mop head washes up nicely after use. The downside (and the reason I removed a star) is that the handle is much too short. I'm not all that tall, but I have to bend to use the mop. Get this if you are 5' 4"!

The handle had to be screwed together rather than one piece like my old dust mop, and the pad has wings on it that are supposed to be better for cleaning edges, but it’s not really that effective because there is nothing solid behind it to press it down for more surface contact.
