Basket is much more beautiful then I expected, and more expensive than one would have hoped, for the task. However, we have looked for a sturdy, locking, mesh dishwasher basket for well over a decade. This basket handles that function with bells on! A bit short for silicone muffin cups, but slightly squished down, they usually don't need a rewash.Fits and holds, on top rack - tiny bristle brushes; Weck clips, small lids and seals (no heat dry for the seals!); canning rings; chopsticks; pastry tips; hot sauce lid; 1-2oz short sauce cups, fondue forks, SS cocktail picks (check that they can't slip out)...Basically anything that will fit inside a 1.5 inch height space, but would go right through the openings of other baskets. Only drawbacks is the height, and you must finagle your own method for dividers, but we've seen nothing else better in more than 10 years.Lid holds shut in normal wash cycle, no heat dry, at all kinds of angles. Holds shut when shaking out warm water for air dry. (No heat, not because of the basket, but many of the inside items I wash are somewhat delicate.) Price is still better than any other closing mesh basket like this.I get more use out of this basket then the slightly less expensive Prince Lionheart 3 piece set, bought many years ago. Mostly because that set is expecting you to wash baby stuff. While I don't understand the lack of simple, tiny mesh, closing dishwasher baskets, at least this item exists, and fills the need!

Some very rough edges on basket. Hope they'll smooth down in time. Great for small plastics in dishwasher. Any small items in dishwasher.

I bought this for small parts in my ultrasonic cleaner, works great and is well made
