We have a Reidel carafe similar to the one pictured, except ours is a little larger, because the top is much closer to the base when it's suspended, and wider at the widest part, making it even more wobbly when inverted. The reviewer who indicated the size specs in the item description are wrong is correct. It's about 12.5" tall. My carafe is 11.5" tall and I think it's just about the tallest this stand can handle.The rubber tip holds well, so the carafe can be tipped slightly and not get a little puddle of water collecting on the top (bottom of carafe). If you're looking at this item you already know carafes are really unstable when inverted for drying. I was afraid to put anything else in the dish drainer until ours had dried and was put away. This is so much better!. It's so stable we considered storing the carafe on the stand all the time, but it was too tall for our cabinet. The Oenophilia brand is really good quality. We also have 2 of their stemware drying racks which are also excellent.Another use: if you wash and re-use plastic bags, this is great for drying them!

I bought two of these, one for my daughter's bar and one for myself to dry flower vases, cruets and candle holders. Sturdy and works great. UPDATE: I purchased the two previously mentioned stands in 2018. I promised a friend I would order one for his growler. Now in 2019 the price more than doubled?!?!?! Last year I paid $9.69 each plus tax. The stand I purchased this week cost $22.09 plus tax - MORE THAN DOUBLE THE PRICE! If I had not promised him, no way I would have paid that much. Shop around!

Great price for a very useful item.This does a great job of helping dry my decanter. There is a rubber(plastic?)cover on the point that the decanter rests on, so it is more stable than it appears in the picture. My decanter dries phenomenally faster and with no water marks or residual using this. I've also been using it to dry vases and pitchers and it works just as well for those. It is a matter of balance, though. To get a large glass pitcher with a heavy handle to balance it was visually very off-balance but nonetheless stable. Again, worked well. Very happy with this item.

My wife and I are oenophiles and needed a stand for our decanter. This one is simple and classic. No frills, clean design and takes up little space. It is tall enough for most full size decanters. We use it for other large glassware to dry as well. I would definitely get this again if we need more drying stands.

If you own a decanter or buying a decanter for someone, spend the extra money and buy one of these. The first time a decanter falls off the countertop because it's in properly balanced when drying you will regret not having it. Most decanters, by design, are top-heavy and will not balance when put upside down. It works easily, the decanter just sits on it, and dries itself ready for the next use. We even used it on a decanter that wasn't your typical decanter, more of a side pour but it still worked fine and left no spots inside. Get one you'll thank me later.

What's not to like? It is a nice clean design. Performs the function that it's designed to do. It is easy to clean and store, and it is functionally decorative. Mine stores quite nicely next to the electric wine bottle cork remover.I use it to dry my Oenophilia decanter after I have cleaned the inside with my Oenophilia decanter brush. I typically use soapy water on the outside and clean water on the inside.

this drying stand works just fine, but I wish the plastic tip were better. The black plastic tip on the top of the stand is relatively smooth, so my decanter doesn't actually stay centered and balanced when I put it on the rack. It always slides off to one side. The base of this stand is large enough that the stand stays up just fine, but I wish it would just stay centered. Maybe a rubber tip would have been better than a plastic one?

For the price, this is a great drying stand! We leave it against the wall on the counter by the sink, always with the wide side of the base facing out and have not had any issues of the stand being tippy. Our decanter is the kind with the very wide bottom, so I could see where there could be problems with the stand tipping, if not faced properly - but again, as long as we place the decanter with the weight facing the wide part of the base, we've had no problems at all.

Esta base para secar decantadores no es de gran calidad pero el material es de buena calidad y suficientemente bien hecho para que funcione.Tengo algunos decantadores largos que no pueden pararse en decantadores más bajos y éste tiene buena altura. La punta de plástico sirve oars no rallar el cristal.Hasta ahora me ha dado muy buen servicio a pesar de que es algo que está más bien del lado de lo corriente.Su base es suficientemente amplia para que no se vuelque la mayorÃa de las veces aunque un decantador especialmente alto y pesado que tengo, tuve que asegurarlo con peso extra en la base y todo bien.Es una buena compra aunque nada para presumir en la mesa elegante.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Drying the inside of these wine decanters is difficult, so a stand like this is very useful. I was concerned that it might be a bit short, but it's not, it works on even my tallest decanters.

Great way to dry your decanter, especially a palm tree one, or else it takes forever for all the water to dry

Works well. Although, be careful that carafe is completely centred when placing on the stand or it will fall over.
