I installed this on brass steering knuckles and with the RCAWD brass diff cover- with that setup I did have to run some spacer washers to clear the diff cover.The aluminum doesn’t flex like the stock plastic, so with extra weight and the stronger EMax servo, it definitely improves steering. You will have to adjust the steering rate on your controller to set the endpoints.

I purchased this because I added larger tires, steel wheels, and brass wheel spacers to my JL. The stock servo was struggling to move them. So before the stock one failed I swapped it out for this stronger servo. No issues with mounting but you will need to trim the corners of the servo or it will get stuck between the frame.I also liked that this kit came with the upgraded steering linkages. The stock one flops around and this one tightened it up very nicely.My 8 year old loves these things and has put it through its paces. I and going to purchase another one and to put on my SCX24 Power Wagon.

Servo brass mount and metal links

Servo is great really long wires as wellThe links look good and fit tight not all the slop like the stockThe brass mount is high qualityBUT! It's only threaded on one side for the links if you plan to do 4 link like you should you will have to make your own nut for the tiny screws I cut off piece from old mount other companies make both sides threaded would be five star if it did aswell

I wanted a decent quality servo for my dual tail rudder to turn starboard (right) or port (left) on the model submarine I am constructing. This servo has durable metal gears and metal steering linkage and a metal mount, which makes it better than those with molded plastic parts. It is also a digital servo which beats analog version in terms of response to control operations. I have tested it on a workbench and it works as expected. The only issue will be trying to cover up the humming noise digital servos make when the sub will be silent running in enemy territory. Not really an issue as I have noise dampening material to surround it. I'm pleased with this servo kit.

Hey servo go out on my 1/14 scale brushless unit installed, the server took a little bit of work and customization but has been very much well worth it. It turns like a champion now. No more whining servo noises. Nothing like that. Just when you're turning it makes noise

Straight out the box and fitted no issues. Definitely a good cheap upgrade from standard
