This Oklahoma Joe’s BBQ pit and smoker replacement thermometer is the real deal. I had tried two different brands before finding this and it is clearly superior in every respect. Since it is made by Oklahoma Joe, it has the correct size larger threads so it screwed directly into the door of my Longhorn BBQ Pit and it works great so far. I had tried two other brands of thermometers and one filled with water from condensation so badly that I couldn’t read the temperature and the second one was not accurate. If you want to make serious BBQ, you need to be able to monitor your temperature accurately and this does the job very well. If I ever need to replace the thermometer again I will buy this exact same thermometer again. It’s clearly labeled so even inexperienced folks can either smoke, BBQ or grill with the correct temperature range needed to get ’er done.

I live in Texas, so I was reluctant to buy something that said 'Oklahoma" on it, but I'm not sorry I did. Got a "New Braunfels" (that's the name of a Texas town and this smoker brand) smoker from a junk pile that some fool had tossed it into as the metal on it was still quite solid. Was missing the temp gauge so I needed a new one and didn't want to spend big $$$ on one. Researched several and read reviews and settled on this.I was quite pleased at the price, though it has gone up quite a bit since I bought it. It fit snug into the smoker after I wallered out the hole just a tiny bit and screwed on the nut. I was quite pleased at the size of this gauge and it is easy to read even in low light. That was a big plus as I often start making BBQ in the wee hours of the morning before the roosters, donut making man and the sun get up.It has the marks telling you the temps for Smoke, BBQ (which are basically the same thing, maybe that's just weird Oklahoma speak), grilling (which is not BBQ!) and sear. Not that I need this info, but probably helpful to rookies. The gauge seems to be pretty accurate and that's what's most important.My only complaint is that the other day I noticed condensation inside the gauge in the center. It didn't block any of the actual temp marks, so that's OK I guess. Maybe that's to be expected, though I've never noticed it on the cheap gauge that is on my crappy Walmart smoker. It seems to clear out , so I'm not gonna take off a star about it.

Purchaser this one for my highland smoker so I can have temp reading on both sides on the cooking space, only downside is the back is loose and if over tighten when installing the backing will slide.

This thermometer was perfect for the very old original Oklahoma Joe smoker we acquired. We gave this old smoker a makeover and this thermometer fit perfect and looks amazing! Great product I would highly recommend.

Added this to my Oklahoma Joe offset and it’s been a game changer, seeing both zones on my temps helps when smoking meats. The accuracy checks out when I did a test with some biscuits on each zone of the smoker. Highly recommend to add to your smoker

Great addition to your Longhorn. Drill a 13/16" hole down by the handle and mount using the nut it comes with. I used a cheap step bit and got it mostly done. If I would have went slower and used some coolant it may have not killed the bit. This is another one of those great upgrades the Oklahoma Joe's Longhorn needs. The temperature difference from the top where the factory thermometer mounts is about 75-100 degrees. Now it is made in China. Oklahoma Joe's products are manufactured by Char Broil and as such go to China to be made. The color code does make it easy to read and the size helps also. It's nice being able to see the temperature from 30 feet away.

Purchased to fit in my OKI Joe offset to give a second temp gauge. Fits and works as it should. Heavily priced for what the device is if I am honest, but I wanted OKI Joes version as the restaurant itself has a piece of my life in its history. I know the OKI joes smokers are not made by Joe’s anymore but it was a nostalgia thing for me.
