These are beautiful items but had to return the first one because the rim was broken! Even the second one came in the same brown paper sack with NO bubble wrap or anything! DO BETTER on your packaging on these items!!!

I searched for weeks for this item and read lots of reviews. This is a really nice piece.

There is a small section of the mug's siding which is extremely thin and cracked right after opening. It can't even hold liquids without leaking from the crack.The base is also uneven resulting in the mug being very wobbly.Its looks great but is not functional. Compared to the Viking Culture mugs these ones are poorly crafted.UPDATE: The company reached out and provided a replacement free of charge. Overall the construction is better than the first; while it certainly looks rugged and has some blemishes that you should expect with a natural horn the blemished do not compromise the mug's function unlike the first mug I received.The resin base is still not quite as even and stable as the wooden based horn mugs. However, comparing the first defective mug to the replacement there is some wobbling but it is still way more sturdy and unlikely to tip over easily.

The base was cracked right out of the box. Other reviewers had the same problem. What makes it a ripoff is the cheap plastic material. It's nowhere near even a decent fake. The shape of the horn and the base don't match, so that the top is pointed sideways. If you have liquid in it, the liquid will pour right out. Absolute crap.

Bought for boyfriend for christmas. hand washed as stated. he put his drink of choice inside and it instantly started leaking everywhere.looks cool but not functional
