you’ll be fine.Tried many times with cutting mat and I could never get clean cuts. When I used cardboard below, and multiple passes (to & fro with first notch then again with 2nd notch multiples times), the cuts came out perfect. Due to the bevel, you will need to exceed the cut size by the thickness of the board, meaning a 2cm border will have end marK at 1.5cm (for 5mm thick board)
