We purchased the Naturally Med - Olive Wood Honey Dipper on December 22nd. It wasn't supposed to arrive until the 30th, but it arrived on the 29th, so that was cool. The dipper is well-crafted, beautiful and strong.Be sure to order some food-grade mineral oil or beeswax to apply to the dipper every once in a while.Works very well at scooping honey that's solidified due to cooler temperatures.

Love it works great and it is still in awesome shape even after I’ve used it multiple times. Would highly recommend this honey dipper.

It’s working!!!! Some family members told me that this dipper needs to have long handle to go into homemade honey in the big glass jar.

I picked up recently on the fact - and it is a fact - that honey tastes better when spooned out on wood, rather than metal. We had long since lost our wooden honey spoon but have a user friendly (if not honey friendly) metal pouring spoon. I ordered this as a treat for my honey loving mum, who's terminally ill, has lost her appetite but still loves a dollop of honey. It makes even the medicine go down ... Initially, because being so ill makes her fractious at times, she got quite stroppy and said "you're telling me how to spoon honey now" (oh, dear, said Piglet) but seeing it in action changed her mood and mind. It simply rolls up and off the honey goes. And it's beautiful olive wood. The ridges make it harder to clean than a metal spoon but it's worth the extra effort - and be sure to apply some olive oil to it to keep the wood in tip top condition. My only slight criticism is the ubiquitous sticky label on the back of the details - it seems manufacturers and bar codes must always obscure the actual details about the product and how to care for it. And , unless you use a specialist adhesive remover (such as the small wipes for sticky plaster residual yack) it won't come off cleanly which kind of spoilt the nice background information supplied. Handle it with more care and respect, and it's a lovely gift, tactile too, for a honey lover who may value such things more than my poor ailing mum does.
