Both sides feature a forgiving surface and will not damage your rotary cutter. The grids on these mats feature inch markings to the 1/8in and a full surface grid with 45 degree angles as well. Bought this for my daughter for her scrapbooking projects, works good for cutting things like stickers out or making things. Good for the price built. Great size, a little slippery when working on it, but still good.

The mat arrived in quick time and boxed nicely. Immediately put it to work! I prefer this brand to others as some of others seem slippery.

My sister led me into the craft of making quilts. Her best and most repeated advice is thus: you are making a heirloom, use the best quality fabrics and tools available. I came home from s quilting retreat where I used a cutting mat for the first time and immediately bought an OmniGrid 24x36 May. Almost 5?years and 41 quilts later I am buying another, not because it wore out but because I left it under the mattress in our motorhome 😞 ( a great place to store it but in the haste of selling the old motorhome, I overlooked it) What did I like about it? Everything! The mat stays in place on my work table ( hubby built me a work table out of furniture grade plywood) I use both sides of the mat, the grid lines are true, the angle lines are easy to use and invaluable and it is truly self healing. OmniGrid is my go to for quilting supplies, I have many of their rulers. I have given this cutting mat to several friends who are delighted with them. I can honestly say that I have not encountered anything I do not like about this mat
