I have purchased several other rulers for sewing and cutting pieces and of fabric and this is the best of allHere’s why:- clear and you can see the fabric and the lines easily through the ruler- does not slide easily and grips the fabric- is large enough that you won’t have to adjust several times for long cuts- strong plastic edges that do not chip/cut when used with my rotary cutterDon’t bother with any other ruler this one really is the best

I love this ruler! I've primarily used it for sewing clothing and some canvas bags, and it's made pattern cutting so easy. It doesn't slip, and it typically doesn't attach/get stuck to my paper patterns either! I like how large it is, too.

Omnigrid are my favorite rulers for quilting. Enough markings but not so large as to obscure the fabric, folds.

The first one came with a chip in it, which is really annoying when cutting fabric. When I went to return and exchange they let me keep the old one and sent another! Great ruler and I appreciate the replacement without having the hassle of returning the first one.

I love this ruler. I had wanted one for a long time but wasn't sure it was worth it. It has turned out to one of my best sewing purchases ever!It isn't what I'd call non-slip. My old one didn't claim to be non-slip, and I can't tell a difference between them. I'm still happy with it, though. I just place my hand or knee on it and press down on the general area in front of the blade (I move my hand once or twice for a 24" cut). This one has green marks, and the other has yellow. The yellow is easier to see on some fabrics, so I thought I would keep using it. However, this one is 2" wider than the yellow one, and that makes so much difference that I use it all the time. The green isn't quite as easy to see sometimes, but it isn't bad.The inch-markings on the yellow one start at 1 (on one side) and go up, and on the opposite side they start at 24 and go down. On this one, both sides start at 1 and go up (or 24 and go down, if you turn it around). Sometimes I prefer the markings on the yellow one, but it's not that hard to turn this one around when I need to.These rulers (with a black line inside the green/yellow) are much easier to read than the ones that only have black markings.

This is wonderful. I was skeptical about the "grippability" of this item, but it has been a game changer! I had a ruler that used pressure and pins to hold fabric in place, but I was never successful. This ruler is fantastic! I do wish the lettering were in black and white, but that's just a preference.

Initially I bought similar ruler at a craft store. It was sliding all over my fabric as I tried to cut it and it was too short for my project - I am making large pillowcases. So went looking for something better and I was very excited about Omnigrip non-slip feature. I'd say its worth paying extra money! One side of a ruler has highlighter colored and very thin coating that prevents slipping. This coating sometimes obstructs the faint tailor's chalk marks, but you can work around that. Also it is worth noting that I still hold the ruler down as I cut the fabric, this coating helps a lot but its not going to glue the ruler to the fabric.

Es una regla muy útil, de acrilico rigido, transparente, que te permite medir y trazar las lineas mucho más rápido que una regla de papeleria.

A must for sewers! It doesn't matter if it's quilting you're into or just simply need to cut/mark fabric, this ruler makes it so easy to work with. No slipping, no constant checking if it's aligned correctly, especially if you're using a cutting mat.My old ruler, which was quite a pricey one, was a nightmare to work with. I don't know how many times it slipped when I cut fabric that was longer than 10". I automatically pressed harder, on the ruler itself as well as the rotary cutter which ultimately lead to even more frustration when it still slipped because I had to reposition my hand to cut the end of the fabric. It came to a point where I dreaded cutting or marking the fabric, going as slow as possible. This ruler is sturdy and thick without being heavy. Sewing is not a cheap hobby. I've learned the hard way to buy quality (pricier) tools.I'm not being paid or rewarded in any kind by saying this, but Amazon is by far the cheapest option that I've come across. I saw the same ruler yesterday at a fabric shop for £10 more than the price here.I'll buy the smaller version to work with smaller pieces of fabric, and I'm not a quilter by the way.

Perfect for patchwork and quilters. Measurements are in inches not centimetres, so good for English women. Use with a matching self healing cutting mat.
